This school is absolutely shocking it should be shut down as the food is never good and is riddled with hair and sometimes even undercooked. Even worse they make students pay for this! The headteacher is super disrespectful and demands respect! I do not recommend this school and I would never ever want to spend another 5 years there!
In my honest opinion, from my experience at the school, I believe this school has progressively gotten worse instead of better. The teachers are not teaching us anything essential for our GCSE exams. The pupils are out of control. I am dreading my next year in the school as a lack of information given by the teachers is unacceptable and affecting the results of some students who have had their GCSE exams before leaving the school in late May. I used to like it when I was in year seven because of all the support given, and although I am still getting that support, the students have changed a lot since then. I feel the teachers are too used to it to deal with the behaviour performed during break, lunch and in classes. My friend talked to me about being bullied, but the school did nothing about it. They suspend children for minor damages that cost £20 or cheaper, but they ensure it takes twice as long to fix them. They tell tales to the year six who are becoming year sevens by saying that they provide education from the highest standard. I believe the indoor and outdoor environments aren't looked after very well and have not been looked after properly by the students. The hygiene is awful as children are eating from trays that have rotten, expired food all over them. The food is quite nasty as well. They care more about how far the skirt is from your knees than giving us proper education. Also, the rule for no coats is getting out of hand, especially in the winter when it may even be -5 degrees outside students are not allowed coats or plain fluffy socks. Boots are also prohibited unless you have problems with your feet, which is awful. It has also come to my knowledge that they do not even clean the trays for school food. Students get in trouble for the most ridiculous reasons. For example, I gave my friend a marshmallow during a school trip. But I got in trouble with one of the teachers. Also, the teachers complain about the state of the toilets, but they do nothing about it. I hate using the school bathroom because it is so gross.
The school's alright in many respects but there's a lot of things wrong with the school. The teachers don't have much if not any control over the pupils who misbehave, the food's quite bad and some of the work is pointless. The head teacher is alright when you're on her good side. I do think the school could be improved in many ways and a lot of the teachers are leaving because of the state the school's in.
we learn useless stuff that won’t come in handy when we get a job and the lessons are boring. we have silly rules such as no wearing coats and it’s absolutely stupid. apart from that it’s fine.
Miserable. Unqualified teachers who drone on about nothing and could barely teach us the bare minimum amount of information necessary for our GCSEs, a pathetic head teacher on a power trip over students wearing their coats indoors to the point where other teachers have started complaining, and awful food. An unpleasant and dull place to spend 5 years of your life.
