Suffered years of psychological torment at Bro Edern at the hands of a team of staff members who poorly manage mental health.
Being bullied? Their answer is to ignore it.
Having a panic attack? Go back to class.
Bust your head open after passing out from stress and blood pouring down your face? Get up immediately and clean it up. (Scar remains years later)
Suffered an attack by a grown man outside of school at the age of 14? “You’re probably still thinking about it because you miss him and want it to happen again”
Someone being made fun of? They join in.
It took years for me to escape that building psychologically and my experiences still sometimes come back to haunt me.
There were about three teachers I found genuinely helpful and compassionate and one teacher’s aid. Luckily, I put in my own work and sought help from a family member who is a teacher to achieve good grades (As & Bs) despite my attendance being around 50% overall.
Amazing staff always ready to help, very good academically I received excellent grades here. Would definitely recommend for anyone thinking of sending their child here
