The school is very good and has a big library with good education but the only problem is the teachers and staff... you might get detention for extremely simple reasons. Overall good school its just the staff.
honest review, do not send your child to this school
i’m in my last year of school at clywedog, if i could go back in time and chose another school i’d jump at the chance, as the years have gone by it’s just gotten worse. I was a very troubled child in my younger years at clywedog and the support system is absolutely atrocious. The very small handful of teachers who genuinely take the time and effort to appreciate their students views, feelings and opinions are the only reason the school is still standing, it really baffles me how the school is still open, the place is a joke. Never in a million years would i send my child here the place is awful it’s never properly cleaned everything is falling apart, most of the toilet seats and toilet door locks are broken and have been for months, if a student asks to use the toilet in a lesson it’s a straight up no, and when they come to use the toilet at break or lunch there at that many students crowding and waiting there you don’t even get to use it. the current headmaster and the whole senior leadership team needs a SERIOUS reality check, we are human beings aswell as you. We may not have the power and authority like you do but this can’t go on any longer the place needs either some serious changes or shutting down and it really saddens me to say that.
The teachers are very strict and Don’t even know most of the work alot of rules there are only a couple of nice teachers i try to avoid the bad ones and only care if someone has no tie or is wearing a coat
The headteacher has too many rules that are pointless. Some of the teachers are nice but some of them aren't. When there is a supply they don't even know what the work is so we don't even know what to do for an assessment .
the school is alright the head teacher has put a lot of rules i dont like some of the tachers dont understand you and i feel like they need to understand that they cant expect kids to be super they are going to try there best but if they get bad grades its fine just keep trying to its not bad they just need to stop putting rules in place because its making me scared weather or not i will like school but the headteacher is a bit mean so i try to dodge him
Not a good school at all, to the point where I’m having to move mid year! This is due to the lack of support I’m given, the teachers are very stupid, they don’t like the idea of pupils having their own opinion. The new headmaster has brought in crazy rules that do not sit right with me, this includes teachers refusing to let pupils go to the toilet, which is validating our human rights. The behaviour in the school is atrocious, I am constantly being bullied and left out and lessons are constantly disturbed. I’m glad I’m moving and will not miss it one bit, parents- DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO THIS SCHOOL!
I don't think the teachers are so good, the quality of the teachers is growing bad each time, teachers getting fired because if stupid things, that teachers should not do.
IN YEAR 9 RIGHT NOW AND ITS SHIT TEACHERS ARE RACIST AND SEXIST THEY HAVE SWASTIKAS ON THE WALL AND THE FOOD WILL GIVE YOU FOOD POISONING SO NEVER SEND YOUR KIDS HERE
to be fair the school isn't that great as a whole BUT there are teachers their that are very kind towards their students and have very good teaching ways. there are a few unkind teachers who think their teaching methods are the right and only way but if you brought up your issue to a member of staff in student services they would try and sort the issue out or move you to a different class if that was what you wanted. all in all the school isn't that bad. the food isn't great but its edible, bit pricey. the school toilets aren't the best, in the girls toilets half the doors didn't have locks on and if they did some wouldn't even lock so if you needed the toilet you'd sometimes have to take a friend with you so they can hold the door shut. most of the sinks didn't work and whenever you walk past the lads toilets it would stink really bad of pure pee and they did have a door to walk into the room but the stalls did have doors. the school police officer isn't that great either, in my opinion she isn't that nice and never really help when it came to sorting an argument out between student. the lady's in student services were nice to those who are nice to them and can be helpful but sometimes they didn't help the situation if anything sometimes it'd just make it more uncomfortable. if any girls need sanitary products such as pads and/or tampons you could go to student services and they'd be discreet about it so none of the other students would see if that's what's preferred. they have a netball team that girls and guys can join, they used to (I'm not sure they they still do) have a girls football team where during one of you lunch's during the week you can go to the pe gyms and practice. there is a lads rygby team too. the school is good for sports.
Has a couple really good teachers, really good teachers who get on a 1 to 1 relationship with there students and can teach you the world, but that’s the only good thing, the rest of the teachers are only there to cash there paycheck and it’s just all and all a run down mess.
Well. What can I say. what a complete dive.
Kids are either scruffy or look like they belong on a street corner.
They clearly don't have a clue how to educate kids. But they sure know how to bully them.
