The school is listed as a primary one, but it has multiple sites in different locations (one of them being a secondary school, which is what this review is on).
The school teaches most lessons in Welsh but could stand to make lessons more bilingual. I find that remembering terms for exams is much easier in English than Welsh.
Besides sports after school and in lunch, there aren't many after school activities. What about drama? Music?
The outside area for breaktimes is good with benches and a rain shelter on opposite sides of the school, but there's nothing to do. We're not allowed to use our phones and a good portion of the grass has been cemented over, fenced off, or out of bounds (behind the school).
Teachers and classrooms are good, and the daily schedule has well spaced breaktimes. The amount of revision material given out is impressive and definitely a huge help for tests.
School meals are alright, but it's important to note only kids with lunch boxes are allowed to eat outside.
They could stand to not be so strict on uniforms, but otherwise it's a decent school. I do hope they listen to students more in future though, it feels like the school council system they have set up is hardly used/doesn't affect much.
