Yardleys School

My children have been physically bullied, beaten and the bullies made videos and shared on social media. All this happened infront of staff members who turned a blind eye and ignored instead of intervening and protecting my child. When I reported the incident to school, they tried to cover up their incompetence and evidence. Only when approached by police they owned up and gave a few days isolation to the bullies. This has happened to so many children yet the school ignores and instead breeds bullies and punish the victims. All this in name of keeping a fake reputation that the school is perfect. The staff members lie and disregard the victims pleas and parents concerns. They support and encourage bullying. Children use phones and vape in class and teachers do nothing about it. Some teachers have been bringing energy drinks into school and giving them free to children without parents consent. Children threaten other children with violence infront of teachers as they know they can get away with it as this school has zero intolerance to bullying only in theory. The teaching is very very poor aswell. They do not support children's learning but just do minimal work to support children in learning. Keep your children away from this school.

The teachers are all really helpful, they can teach to an exceptionally high standard, and they're really kind (with the few exceptions of course). The students themselves were also pretty nice and it was a good atmosphere, the facilities and modern architecture makes it a place you enjoy spending your day in. They recently had an extension built too which means they now have 2 canteens, overall I absolutely LOVED this school and would do anything to go back! I highly recommend this to anyone who's applying for secondary school this year.
