The school does not deal with bullying effectively. This is brought up time and time again and there is plenty of evidence online of this.
The school will move the victim if at all and not deal with the bullies.
They have a anti bullying policy that on the first occasion will not inform the bullies parents but speak to the bully first. This does not work as the victims are too scared that the bully will be angered and so nothing happens.
I know of many children that are refusing to attend school, and the teachers response is either don't go then or we'll get the police to make you go.
Such a shame as the school has the potential to be a positive force but lets it self down.
This will only lead to poor grades for many students
It also allows older boys to bully and steal from younger girls and doesn't seem bothered or take action.
If my child gets bullied one more time I will be informing the local education authority and the police.
Individual teachers can be great or dreadful, headmistress and senior leadership team evidently have no idea what they’re doing. No support for well-being, the so-called “well-being officer” does nothing but sit in her office and talk badly about students to other students. Illogical rules and a “reward the naughty kids when they’re slightly less naughty” system instead of rewarding hard working ‘good kids.’ Constantly sent emails for opportunities for those studying medicine and no other subject areas- this small minority is the only they see important. The classrooms are lovely however if all that money can be spent on such a nice looking school- wheres the money for facilities we actually need? not a decent set of coloured pencils in the entire art department unless you bring your own. Goes to show they only care about how good our school looks and the grades we achieve rather than the wellbeing of the students. I’ve seen kids bullying others for their sexuality including death threats, yet god forbid a class teacher reprimand the student giving these threats or they’re “pushing their beliefs on children.” Overall, a miserable 5 years of my life- can’t wait to leave!
The school does not do any thing about incident reports or bullying the assistant head of year did nothing about the class shouting at my brother for being in the medical room since the last time I wrote a review every thing has got worse
This school is horrible in nurture they you like babies some staff are not that nice they say go the ypant way at this point no. If you have tiny amount of white on your shoes you get isolation a girls skirt is above there nee they get isolation they now do equipment checks which are not even serving a point as most students find there equipment on the floor the girls got to leave pe on time and the boys were kept behind for no reason so a group of boys just walked out the gates which they should because the school says it is equality and that is not they kick pupils out of the diner que
