Great except canteen and holding biometric data on children
My experience so far is excellent. My daughter has excelled at this school in both sport and educational learning. She went to the school from moving into the area, not knowing a soul on her first day. Staff were excellent in helping her settle in and she has been identified as having exceptional attitude and achievements. She was never celebrated at her previous school but has already received several letters home praising her.
Meals are very expensive and school uses biometric data for a cashless system. As opposed to a qr code or something non personally sensitive.
That biometric data is held on a server with your child's name.
To me that is something the school needs to address. Potential risk to children's safety online and in public domain.
There for me is no justification for holding biometric data on children.
I hate this school, they say they have a 4 point plan but bullies never get punished because they're continuously being given second chances, and they only care if it's a student being rude to a teacher. My friend was being followed after school and wouldn't leave them alone and kept going in their face, so they reported it and the teacher just said she didn't care because it's outside of school. People are constantly yelling homophobic and racist slurs and there are swastikas drawn all over the desks and tables. You can't go to the toilets during lessons without getting your logbook signed and sometimes they won't even do it anyway. They don't consider that some people need to fidget to concentrate, not loud fidgeting, but you get told of sometimes for shaking your leg even though it's quiet. Most of the teachers really don't care about the students mental health and wellbeing, despite all the surveys they send round. Anti bullying posters and assemblies don't do anything, it's completely ineffective. Half the time at breaks people just scream in your face and shove into you, yet you only get punished if there's a cause behind it, teachers have seen me being pushed at breaks and just look at me before looking away, and then I push back once and they tell me I shouldn't behave like that at school. It's annoying how the teachers can wear massive hoop earrings and hot pink cardigans yet we get in trouble if we're wearing one more ring than we're supposed to, when we could be learning. A lot of the time there's crazy amounts of homework too. And the detention just for a phone going off is stupid, they could just be allowed to quietly silence it yet half the time they get an hours detention after school. The only reason I won't give this one star is the fact that just a few teachers actually care.

Teachers are sexist overpriced food teachers make u feel like the odd one out and one time my music teacher threw a keyboard on the floor cuz he was angry and it hit someone’s hand and the teachers r just to strict they lie all the time and ye wyvern is shit
Horrific school they preach about their 0% bullying, which is a load of waffle. Might I add the teachers bully the kids for example given them punishments, left right and centre for pathetic things like wearing white socks I even got a detention for putting a tissue in the bin once as I didn’t ask to get out my seat .I have autism and I got no support with that at all. My time At Wyvern was hell and caused me to have major anxiety whilst I was there and depression Instead of looking into why someone is behaving how they are they just give out punishments like they’re going out of fashion the staff expect the students to treat them with the utmost respect yet It’s not reciprocated back .
Its a good school there are lots of rly nice teachers but there is literally one teacher I have found who will treat me the same and support me with my mental health and not treat me like a baby. The teachers on the safeguarding team are the ones who care more about grades and uniform. Also to get accommodations your parents have to call in which I get but like if your parents aren’t supportive u can’t have any support you just have to deal with it which makes coming to school even more difficult than it already is and I’m not just talking about mental health my friend was about to have an asthma attack and the teacher wouldn’t let her go get her inhaler the ended up having to call an ambulance and then the teacher lied to her parents and said she refused to go get it! But there are genuinely a lot of rly nice teachers that teach in a fun exciting way it’s just the mistakes are what people remember
Teachers don't give a shit about mental health, they only care if ur uniform is correct, the school doesn't help with anyone who struggles so they get picked on, oh and a bad thing is someone got sa in the school and they kept the person in the school, needs to be shut down!
Food is over priced to, free meals only get £2.30 and they can't even get much to eat
This school does not care about mental health it makes you feel like the odd one out there are only a few teachers in this school who really care about you who really take the time out to understand u
When going to this school i have seen multiple different instances where the school brushes off problems regarding the students safety and wellbeing. A yr 7 was sent nudes and forced to send them back to a yr 11 (the school says its too close to gcses was the awful excuse given when we brought this up), I had a mental breakdown during lesson in this school in front of a teacher and they told me to man up, I got a SLT Detention for promptly leaving the school that day. The lunch looks like it has several diseases.
Jk lol they're not that bad but they r kinda shit at handling bullying and some stuff tho but idk. Also seriously the meal prices r crazy like almost £3 for some chips and a few chicken nuggets loads more for other stuff like especially drinks and it's like they take advantage of kids not having the choice to get food from anywhere else. Also we aren't allowed to go on the field for some reason idk why and also the changing rooms r shiiitttttt. Also their behaviour plan is way to harsh like an hour detention for ur phone making a noise like seriously.
But otherwise they r OK for some stuff.
This school is alright most of the teachers are alright and do a good job what I will half to say is this schools new uniform system is awful they named the system the POW card (I don’t know how that name passed the inspection) and it’s a system where if you are caught with wrong uniform like untucked shirt or rolled up sleeves even if you’re sleeves go down without you realising or you run and your shirt gets untucked your card will get ticked and 3 ticks is an after school detention and 9 an internal exclusion that’s all I have to say soo yea
Terrible, only care about children getting good grades and mental health is just ignored when the pressure gets to much for them. Expecting a year seven child to do gcse level questions is ridiculous!
All right teachers, they are good. However, a vice head dressed up as a Jew on word book day, with the star, the number and the mud all over her face and didn’t apologise no matter the number of complaints. Didn’t handle any issues surrounding one of my friends who was sexually assaulted. The headteacher who is a white cis male said the N word during an assembly.
It’s a good school but the teachers are sexist. They send you to isolation for silly things like wearing white socks instead of black when you could be learning. Teachers only tell the boys off yet when a girl does the same thing they don’t. I was also once given a raw sausage roll and no refund :(
It’s a good school. Got good grades made great memories. It’s just that some teachers care a lot more about their dress code than a child’s education. Like why would you send me to isolation for wearing white socks when i could be learning... baffles me.
