The quality of teaching was poor, due to wasting time marking 'end of topic' test and homeworks. Teachers were rude towards students without explanation. The school lacks discipline towards some students.
Worle School has been improving since the 2016 stabbing, although little improvement was made, also judging by the most recent OFSTED report: Requires improvement.
After the pandemic, all of the smaller toilets were shut permanently (2 in the maths block, 1 in the art block, 1 in the English block, 1 in the humanities block), creating large queues in the main and only toilet, yet some teachers have a toilet next to their office.
Children are spoonfed left-wing propaganda: being taught that there are over 50 genders, flying the pride flag, tutorial lessons about "misinformation".
A new principal was put in place, the school unsuccessfully tried to join a new trust last year. Nothing changed.
Some subjects are taught better than others. I don't know if the neighbouring Priory and Hans Price schools are better, however, as a former student I can say that this school is poor.
Rubbish get detenstions for everything. Detention for not having shirt tucked in teachers have no idea what they are doing. Toasties they serve are rock solid stale all staff completely deny a stabbing ever happened even though it did
Absolutely horrendous. I’m now in year 11 and I had to move myself to another local school because I could cope. People starting on people for no reason I had fights almost weekly. the teachers have no respect for anyone bar themselves it’s horrible. They don’t care or understand about mental health they just tell you to carry on ur day
wanted to go into cafeteria and have lunch but since i had no tie i was parked for refusing to get out of the cafeteria i refused for the reason of there was 30 maybe 40 behind me and would take even longer to get dinner
Shittest school I’ve ever went to they racially discriminate yu and teachers abuse there powers never go to this school if yu would like to be racially discriminated and treated shit
My school experience was really bad here, teachers honestly don’t care(accept for two decent ones I had). My tutor could never control my class when we was in yr 11. My head of year wasn’t any good if you had a problem she’d just ignore it, she literally walked past me in tears and just told me to go straight to lesson. She couldn’t deal with any incidents their was also a kid who was racist and she just moved him to another tutor group to protect him, no support for the person who had to hear it. Fights breaking out in science lessons on the daily the kids were just uncontrollable, this teacher was always late, always given a supply teacher and when she was there couldn’t control the class, meaning I don’t think no one passed science as the teacher was too busy yelling to actually teach, I mean I got a 2 and a 3 in science but probably could have passed if I was given a decent teacher . I’m suprised how I managed to get 7 GCSEs with the crap teachers I’ve had whilst here. Don’t send your kid here.
