worst school anyone could ever go to.. trust me it has gotten so much worse. woolmer hill school used to be a good school but in the past few years it has become a hell hole. most students hate it. please please please do not send your child here please!! as a past student of woolmer hill it has scarred me and given me tons of anxiety that i can’t even remember what life was like before. please please please i beg you do not send your kids here. it is the most horrible place on earth! xoxo

50/50

It's a mixed bag for me. I'm a parent of a child attending this school. Their year teacher is wonderful—assertive when needed, yet able to connect with the students on their level. However, I've noticed some teachers in the school displaying bias. They tend to single out certain students and hold onto issues relentlessly, to the detriment of the child. After all, they are just children. A few of the teachers come across as judgmental, impolite, and arrogant at inappropriate times. Even the head of the school can sometimes respond with arrogance to genuine concerns from parents. That being said, I don't want to discount the fact that there are several great teachers too. It's unfortunate that the negative experiences overshadow the positive ones. On the whole, the school does have students who appear content and are consistently well-dressed.

Very Bad

Honestly the school care more about their reputation than the children's mental health with there strict rules the school is treated like a prison with rules like no hair dye or jewelry they totally control your life even outside of school and the teachers are mostly horrible and don't get the children's mental health at all

positives and negatives of Woolmer Hill School

Honestly i could rant on a lot about Woolmer hill but these are just a few things about this school which have been bugging a me. First of all the staff treat this school like a prison, with their walkie-talkies and searching the students bags, blazers and coats just for being in the toilets with multiple people. This school doesn’t really care that much about the mental health of your children, they might say they do but the most definitely do not. The teachers and staff shout at the students (which can be very triggering and scary) and argue with them just for their own entertainment. The teachers give the students an hour after school detention if they fail to do their homework which is incredibly unfair under the circumstances of stress that children ages 11 to 16 go through. The rules at this school on the whole are ridiculous; still having a one way system and making students go around the whole building just to go to the toilets, not to mention they’ve even taken the doors off of the toilets and the staff (male and female) come inside of the toilets which is a complete violation of privacy. Although there are some positives to still school which include; good food, nice uniforms, clean buildings, lots of classroom resources, big sports departments and overall a nice building with some good teachers.
