Teachers here dont let you go to the toliet. And have horrible rules. For example, not letting year sevens on the grass, giving negatives for going to the toliet!! All strict teachers, they say they care about knowledge but they only care about how "neat" you look. The rules for skirts are horrible, no girl should be getting a after school for rolling a skirt! They never even let you have any actual fun at lunch, they dont allow spraying radnors! 😡
If your child has a EHCP please do not send your child here. They will tell the local Authority that your child is achieving when they are not so won't put nothing in place. Do yourself a favour and look else where and if you do decide to send them there then please watch out for the person who is in charge of the head of senco.
If your child has a EHCP please DONT send them here.
They have no empathy and when they clearly know your child isn't achieving they will tell the local authority that they are doing excellent. They lie and wait to tell you they aren't going achieve no qualifications. Do yourself a favour and look else where. They caused my family nothing but pain and watch out for the person who is in charge of your child (head of senco) they think she is above the law
With exceptions of the Pupils that attend the school it’s a very well build school. Outstanding teaching staff always supporting those in need. I suffer with dyslexia depression anxiety and a few more thing. They have adapted some rules for me to feel safe and comfortable in school. The only down side to this school is of a pupil is out of controls they are left to do what they want. If everyone that attend had the same attitude then the school would be brilliant. The teachers have respect for the children they help me with my dyslexia always finding away to make things easier to comprehend. There are definitely days where I struggle to attend school due to my mental health but the teachers normally pick up on this a few days before I start to get extremely bad. The staff treat you like adult if you show them respect and gain their trust additionally they are always finding want to help us improve. All staff are patient with anyone that misbehaves and gives them a chance to explain themselves however this does me it’s a one warning system after that it’s punishment. It’s also clear to see that teachers do have favourite children that they teach but I assume that just due to the children making their work easier for them and not misbehaving.
they don’t give one about mental health even though they say they do, ive got shouted at for not smiling and being slow to do work because of depression and when you try to explain it they give you sarcasm and jokes. they always say “mutual respect” is important but that ALSO means teachers respecting students and i haven’t had that once in my whole time at the school. the teaching is fine and whatever but that isn’t the only important thing. also when i’ve been having a bad day and find it hard to focus on work, i’ve been sent out and made to sit in a room for the hour and do nothing. the majority of the teachers are selfish and never think twice about the wellbeing of students. it’s gross. they don’t have any toilet doors which takes away privacy and doesn’t help the bullying situation at all because bullying has continued and nothing at all has been done about it. the councillors get your information and force you to open up and then never contact you again and i’ve been told this same thing from all of my friends who have been to the councillors. being at this school makes you feel like absolute crap and it is only fun and a good experience if you’re popular, the teachers like you or if you’re 100% mentally stable and neurotypical.
