Whitmore High School

One of the only good things about Whitmore is its academic reputation as they are adamant on setting students excessive amounts of work to do which completely deprives them of a social life. However the school has tried to improve recently but still do not live up to their outstanding reputation from 2015 which is clearly outdated and if they were inspected again I would be very surprised if it is outstanding. The students there are very rude and intimidating to the public and it seems like they are only getting worse behaved as the years go by. Most of the teachers really do try their best but they too must be under so much pressure from the amount of work they have to give to and then mark from students. Homework should definitely be reduced, more inter grated/community based activities need to take place- the school definitely lacks pride from students and a feeling a warmth. The sixth form is not worth going to compared to other harrow sixth forms, there are barely any incentives and you are still treated like a child there. They don’t have enough teachers for certain subjects so they get unspecialised teachers who know absolutely nothing about a subject and expect you to be taught at a level standard. The corridors are always overcrowded so much pushing and shoving it is a safety hazard at this point. Young years act like hooligans and teachers can’t control them. The school is way too strict and regimented no wonder everyone runs wild there. Lots of bullying there too the kids are sooo disrespectful I don’t know whether their parents can even parent. The teachers have to deal with so much no wonder so many leave so quickly. Overall they don’t care about their students and jsur want to tick boxes like: ofsted outstanding, good gcse and a level results and dismiss that they are sending out ignorant people into the world with no regard for others.

good school but it has GCSE it sh hard

In the last 12-18 months this school has become horrible. Teachers treated like crap, kids are rude no discipline at all. The kids run riot and head doesn’t care. If Ofsted came in school would be severely down graded to inadequate. Fights , bullying and lots of police involvement. How it’s a popular school is beyond me …. Look at how many staff members are leaving … that will answer your question.

Gangs, stolen phones, honestly a bad school. The attitude is really bad. I was a former supply teacher there. Someone stole my phone and its gone. School tried to investigate but nothing happened. Honestly. Don't go there.
