didnt care when i tried to kiII myseIf. an awful school, ESPECIALLY their mental health services. they would rather you get good grades than stay aIive. there was also a severe ignorance for racism, homophobia and sexual assault when it came to teachers. they didnt care about reports and seemed to believe a 2 day suspension was enough for shouting racist slurs and posting about women deserving r4pe
Wheatley is a Great school with good teachers and staff, they take care in giving students a good education, especially now, given the current Covid situation. They have a greatly historical school site and continue to carry that on to date. However pressure put on students, whether that be from the current online school and expectations despite situations both inside or outside the classroom, is a big one. As with any school reaching for success, Wheatley challenges it students to achieve, however sometimes maybe a bit too far. I know a few of students who have struggled under the pressure schoolwork puts on them during lockdown. My only concern and wish is that the school may find a better way to relieve that pressure and make some students feel more enabled to achieve instead of stressed by curriculum, over getting good grades. Apart from this Wheatley park is a brilliant school, welcome and inspiring; with a range of extra curricular activities and experiences open to all pupils. Their motto: “Everyone learning, Everyone caring” really shows through!
