horrible school, horrible teachers and you cant even have piercings, they argue until u take it out. and if u dont u have to be sat in a lousy school all day
This school is depressing, i feel bad for the teachers that work there, some of the students treat them like s@&t and they seem nice (some of them) this schools okay though. From year 8
The hellish experience that was my time at West Mon
I'm an ex student and to this day I still have horrible memories of what happened when I attended.
For starters I had a traumatic experience with the changing rooms in which I decided to change in the bathroom due to the students spraying banned aerosols in the changing room, I did this a few times but eventually the girls caught on and whilst urging me the hurry up (which I was already doing) they KICKED THE LOCKED DOOR IN and threw me out. After doing a mild revenge in which I called nature's cry as they kicked the door in, I was scolded whilst the other girls received nothing as punishment.
Instead I was set to change in the teachers changing room to which on the first experience I had to pin the door shut as I was across the boys changing rooms and they wanted to try barging in on me naked, I also had teachers come in on multiple points whilst I was changing.
Speaking of personal hygiene, whenever I used the toilets after lunch they would have waste inside them, leftover fruits and food wrappers on the floor, even in the toilets and sinks at times but never once in the bins, I once opened a toilet to see a USED SANITARY PAD floating inside. They never once doubled down on this rule either.
Outside of school hours I saw a student URINATE in PUBLIC out in the open and even had a student toss a LIT CIGARETTE into my bag, the urinating boy was never called by the school out for what he did either and after my mum scolded him he urinated on our DOORSTEP. I never had problems with the teachers aside from mild disagreements on mild stuff, but I once bore witness to two students fighting with chairs whilst the teacher was out, they were scolded by an assistant but it took more than long for it to happen.
The student chaos continues such as, after I became a prefect, with a younger student telling me to "f**k off" after I told him to slow down , students would pull the fire alarms all through out my final years there and of course there was the "plastic fork assault", students would also slide down the open stair banisters and would in general litter everywhere, roughhouse and every morning chanted out loud, all of this without any concern from the teachers.
In terms of education I can name one small complaint, I learnt about sex ed thrice, they assumed we were dumb enough not to comprehend it on the first round, which was wrong.
However, my worst experience was with both the food and how they treated the mentally special students.
With the food it ranged from good to inedible, however, I once ate one of the chicken burgers only to find a BONE still inside one of them, I didn't eat the burgers after that. My other bad food experience was with the wedges which, due to the polystyrene, meant the oil the wedges were soaked in sunk to the bottom, I was sick enough that I couldn't eat for the rest of the day. Aside from this, it wasn't uncommon for some of the food to be undercooked or soggy.
Last, and certainly not least, I have Autism, it's not bad enough that am like the stereotype but it does mean I have certain signs. However, I was down right PATRIONISED by the school, I didn't have to eat in a room with the other special kids during lunch and break but at times it felt like they were forcing me, on top of that I was coddled all day, it wasn't until college that I started become independent . Speaking of lunches, after a while they decided to move us to the cafeteria (which is like offering a vegan a juicy steak) and obviously, none of us liked it because it was noisy and over stimulating.
I would rather burn my self in gasoline and liquid waste than go back to that social hell.
The bullying is bad and the teachers won't do anything about it. The R2L system is stupid as kids who want to get out of school can do something wrong and just sit upstairs reading or doodling. If you try to talk to the teachers about something that is bothering you or that you need to ask for help, they just dismiss you and say you should've listened. They are inforcing covid rules but then don't follow them themselfs. Eg mask wearing or not following the one way system.
The school is fairly good. However there needs to be more done to tackle bullying that happens.
A child I know has had to move schools due to the bullying as nothing was done to support him.
I never liked the school the teachers there are horrible and dont give kids a chance to explain themselves and now I heard they dont follow Covid 19 safety that school has alot to learn to be honest
