What an awful experience since the new head teacher started there. Is a school for bullies. There is no one to supervise the kids during breaktime. They only care about the Academics. Kids are mean and even my 7yo says that he couldn't stand it anymore, that the teachers favoured some kids and that there was not point in telling since that was only going to get worst. Same opinion then my oldest. Do Not take your kids there. No values and no care about anything else but the scores in Academics.
Completely agree.
They go above and beyond to keep the SEND children an example of what not to behave like.
Section children off and lock them in classrooms on there own the Complete aarogance towards the children in need of care and support is degrading and just dam right cruel.
They are very critical and narcissistic, gaslight at any Avenue they can when inside the building one male teacher is actually mentally and physically abusing children.
They set them up on a path to fail in the future without a second thought of the damage and impact it has on that child. Would never recommend this school to anyone and going by this review it’s still the same if not worst.
Very cold hearted, rude and judgmental adults in charge of your children.
Despite the other reviews, it is in fact a wonderful place for your children to be educated. The knowledge that the children have and can convey to others is incredible. The children are happy and thoroughly enjoy coming to school. They have a wealth of after-school opportunities that cover all bases for children's extracurricular likes and dislikes. The children are supported to achieve at every step. The school put on events throughout the year that invite the local community to partake and really create a sense of 'togetherness' within the village.
It really is a great school.
Speech and Language support is incredible
My child is lucky to attend this school
I can't fault the staff and leadership in any area
Always welcoming and go over and above time and time again
The real heart of the community
Well done Watermore
Despite others' reviews, this is a truly wonderful place. Children are cared for and academically challenged. The building has a sense of happiness and joy, and pupils speak so highly of the place, they leave excited and brimming with knowledge. The changes in the curriculum have engaged children with their learning and the events that they hold, welcome the community in to share the experiences of the school.
This school is beyond awful. Academically they're fab, you can't argue with their results.
But that is at the expense of the children's mental health. If you have a child that's bullied or has SEND they're awful.
3 children have left from year 5 since September due to the school's lack of behaviour management. Another has a parent trying to have their child moved.
The head lies and doesn't take criticism well. When I moved my children and popped in to grab a few bits of theirs she walked out her office, looked at me and then turned away without even acknowledgeing that I was there or asking how the kids were. The deputy head, who is amazing, came straight over asking about them.
They may be rated Ofsted outstanding, but they've not been inspected for 10 years!! They wouldn't be an outstanding school now. I'm pretty certain of that. When parents asked why I was moving my children, the overwhelming responses where that they also thought the school had gone downhill and weren't happy. I spoke to parents who are friends with children in multiple year groups.
My children have now moved. The difference in them is incredible. I've gone from tears every morning to them skipping in with barely a backward glance.
There was persistent bullying to multiple children, both emotional and physical. The school have zero control.
I thought so hard about posting this. But I'd advise all parents to think very hard before sending your children here.
I used to work at this local primary school for many years before the new school was built, ok we had problems then mostly visitors and parents parking, but now it is awful, I really feel for the local business as irresponsible parking has cost them their revenue. Our local chemist is having so many problems with very aggressive people when told that it is not a public car park , which is obviously not , it’s for the local businesses , and for people picking up vital medications, I am a local and when when my kids were at junior school I walked everywhere, so come on all you irresponsible Parker’s think of our community, WALK As we did !
