This school is not at all good with dealing with behaviour and mental health. Some teachers just scream and shout at students for no reason. Way to much homework with little time to complete. Also phones home when they have the slightest issue with a student even when the parent is at work which could be dangerous depending on their job.
Hopeless, rife for bullying, drug taking and smoking in the school. When you contact the school you get the brush off. Anti bullying policy a waste of time. Heads need to roll here. And by that I mean head teachers!!!
I go to Wadebridge school, I believe it is an average school because I have experienced lots of bullying and some sexual harassment and the school have always either made it worse or done nothing about it. The acedemics are OK, I'm not making much improvement but I slowly am, the Teachers are also OK, although able to control a class, sometimes it is a bit much. The indoor environment is poor, the classrooms are dark and it's hard to see most of the time. The outdoor environment however is good. There is lots of space, 2 hard court areas, a large field and the tennis a d basketball courts, which brings me on to sport. I enjoy the sports and p.e lessons, there is a veriety of sports and they are all made enjoyable. The activities, however are very poor. There are limited after school clubs with not much to do, and the trips are boring, there is not much to do on them. The security is good, it is practically impossible to get out of school, although some students frequently skip classes.
Awful, staff are rude and disregarding of major issues. Fail to sort any problems with drugs and smoking and when it’s clear when, who abs where it is happening. People are overdosing and only getting two days exclusion it’s appalling, staff are forever unhelpful and unenthusiastic towards working, lots concider it a social to share their life or problems.
School facilities are really run down, the bathroom is extremely unsanitary and on daily occurrences there are human waste on the floor, blood everywhere. Also the teachers force us to wear black jumpers no matter where we go, even if it’s 30c in the summer or 2c degrees in the winter; this neglect and abuse has led to many problems which the police are dealing with.
teachers can be very biased on students, many don't care about a students mental health such as anxiety, do little to nothing about bullying even if a kid directly tells them they're being bullied, a white kid could shout the n word done the corridor and a teacher would only tell them to take their coat off. teachers are so late to pick up on kids that need help, that a kid went to hospital for taking acid in the bathroom and there's so much more ew
