I honestly can’t understand the other reviews on here. I have just come across this review site as I’d never heard of it before and felt compelled to add my own comments. I have sent all my children to VFPS and the staff cannot be more loving and accommodating to all my children and supportive to us as a family. They all learnt so much whilst in their care, excelling in all areas. We are kept updated on Tapestry nearly every day and as a family we love seeing the children all playing together and engaging with each other. The staff are all amazing and if we’ve ever had any issues they are approachable and seek help from other professions when needed. My son’s child goes there and has a speech delay, they identified this immediately and engaged with outside agencies to ensure that this was addressed as quickly and efficiently as possible (we all know how long a speech and language referral takes nowadays). The care of the children always comes first, I highly recommend you visit and see how happy and confident all the children are.
Worst pre school ever. Do not ever send your child there they dont take care of them. My daughter couldnt speak therefore they couldnt understand or speak or express her feelings. They were shouting at her keep saying no no to her. That made her under psychological pressure. Because she was keep screaming. whenever she does her toilet they were keep calling me and telling me she cant come to school for two days. Thats was an excuse for them to not to change her diaper. My daughter doesnt have diarrhoea every week! When i took my daughter out of that school well doesnt look like school! Ive sent my daughter to private nursery which is soo much better now shes loving it there , they not racist or they dont give no ipad!! Which this vicarage nursery gave ipad to my daughter just so they dont deal with her. Dont know why ofsted doesnt go for visit to that nursery yet!!
Please, please, please do not send your child to Vicarage Farm pre-school, especially if the child is non-verbal or use English as an additional language.
The staff will not bother for them, two of the them show signs of racism and will ignore your child.
There is a lot to say but I will be very short and just say that a perfectly normal child, with no health issues at all, just a language barrier, attending this nursery for over an year, surrounded by 13 english kids Monday to Friday, did not learn a single word in English there.
He speaks 10-15 words in his mother language. And learn “ ready, steady, go” within 4 hours spent with his aunt.
I changed his nursery for his sake and I am so glad I did it. He is starting his third week now and he says 3 new words in English!!!!
I feel so guilty as a mother because I let him attend that nursery for so long, where he has obviously been ignored and treated differently.
They said to me the other kids were afraid of my child.
Them, as proffesionals, should promote empathy and kindness, to encourage kids to play together and learn from each other.
They also allow 2,3,4 year old kids to watch cartoons on Ipads and laptop.
My child has a certain screen time at home and I send him to nursery to learn, develop skills, engage in activities and interact with other children, socialize, not to be kept in front of a screen.
There are many other wrong things.
If you really want a happy and healthy child, do not send him to Vicarage Farm Preschool!!!
