Overall incredible. The support given to students and the relationships built between staff and student are unlike anywhere else. Students with specific aspirations are given tailored advice and help to help them get there. Admittedly, the lower school is less efficient and less well aimed at STEM students but if you stick it out till year 12 (which I would recommend) then it all becomes worth it as being familiar with the school and teachers already is helpful. I would very much recommend UTC Portsmouth to any students with a passion for STEM or ambition to achieve. My only warning would be that it is not a place for those looking for an easy ride through A-Levels or GCSEs as the workload is relatively high, it is definitely manageable though.
It's not what it promised. It's not a calm place. Do not go here for Engineering, save it for college. There's a lot of coursework, so it's very stressful and I've personally notice a drop in grades instead of an increase which was promised.
Don’t do engineering here save it for college. Most lessons were a mess especially engineering. Atmosphere isn’t what it should be for a professional working environment it’s so called.
