I can't really fault Upperwood Academy. I've had children in this school for the past 10 years, and the headmaster Mr Budd. has gone above and beyond to help my family, in particular when two of my children went through Meningitis. I couldn't have asked for more support; he really cares about the children and families at his school.
The teaching quality is good, the staff members are pleasant and approachable, the school buildings are well kept, and the wood at the bottom of the very large playing field is lovely for children to be able to experience nature.
The children are missing school very much, which speaks for itself.
I'm reluctantly de-registering at the moment due to Covid-19 concerns, but that is no fault of the school. I wish I could be assured of a place at the school for my youngest to return again once the pandemic has subsided, but that remains to be seen, as it is a good reflection of the positive qualities of the school that it is over subscribed.
Excellent school, thank you very much for the past decade of teaching my children.
