They treat you horribly and then make up the excuse of preparing you for adult life

Tuxford Academy has its ups and downs. Some staff aren't very helpful/co-operational. While others can be inspiring, interesting and make you excited for learning (What a teacher should be doing). The meals are subpar, not very nutritious and are sometimes undercooked (mainly in the sausage cobs, where the meat is pink).

Sports activities are very good, football, rugby, games, gymnastics, rounders, cricket, etc. But the equipment is often mishandled and used to harm/damage students and property.

There are often 2-3 fights a week and students will often premeditate revenge on students. Children who suffer from severe forms of ASD/ADHD and physical/mental disabilities are often spoken down to in sarcastic tones by other students, either during breaks and lunch or even in class in front of a supply/teacher.

This one still baffles me but there is no official school nurse and hasn't been since around July of 2021 (During the midst of a global pandemic). Students are asked to wait outside the ex-nurse's office where a teacher from inclusion (mainly working in school punishments, student funding, computer rooms, printing) will come down and offer basic medical needs to a sick/injured child.

However, the school did an excellent job of inoculating/testing the students after Christmas 2020 when Covid-19 was infecting dozens of students a week. The school are also very efficient at getting classrooms vaccinated from mild diseases such as HPV to deadly diseases such as polio, tetanus, and measles.

Damage of school equipment is widespread, pieces of glue stuck to the ceiling, spitballs stuck to cupboards, pairs of scissors thrown into the ceiling and chewing gum stuck to the underside of seats/tables. There are often swastikas etched into the toilet walls and the taps are often blocked/broken, which regularly leads to flooding of a toilet, causing it to be locked down for a day to a week (depends on the damage).

Overall Tuxford Academy is subpar as of October 2022 and requires drastic improvement. I personally believe the reviews from Ofsted are incorrect as the school manages to hide a lot of its mishaps behind a warm smile and kind words. Most of the students are unhappy. Tuxford Academy was in its heyday between 2011 and 2016 but has dropped since. Tuxford Academy is an average school with a lot to work on (bullying, damage of equipment, protection of vulnerable students).

Came at year seven left in year 8 blamed me for suff I didn’t do students bully you on the busses they spent 10000 pound on carpets and a new sound system and they are supposed to “teach” witch the teachers do a terrible job of,just don’t come here
