Our daughter is in this school, and we can only say good things about it - the school is small so everyone knows everyone. They're being looked after, treated as a respected personality, and the staff is generally very polite, approachable, attentive and can share a good laugh with kids at times. Almost every step of every school year parents are being asked their opinion and listened to their concern, if any. The kids do get odd bruise due to playing at the playground but that's normal for active kids, they just bump into each other or fall running. We wouldn't want them to sit patiently on the bench during their break - they're primary school kids, they should be running and jumping and sometimes falling, too, that's fine.
My daughter and her schoolmates are happy kids, as far as I know, and I accompany them a lot and observe their behaviour, so from my point of view, The Wells Free is a wonderful school with a good curriculum, loads of after-school activities and humane attitude towards students.
My child's last year in Year 6 at TWFS was extremely disappointing and distressing. The environment created by the teachers was far from nurturing. Many teachers seemed to feel entitled to say whatever they wanted to the children, often breaking them down emotionally rather than building them up. This created an atmosphere that was unsafe and uncaring.
The poor governance from the headteacher was evident throughout the year. There was a noticeable lack of core values, and it felt like anything goes; transgenders, homosexuality, pherians and other disturbing, mentally-ill behviours at such a young age.
If you want your child to grow up as a stable, well-rounded adult who will contribute positively to society, this is not your school. TWFS failed to provide a supportive and safe learning environment, and I would not recommend this school based on our experiences.

this school is a living hell i have heard many of a threats going on as well as people getting bullied and hurt as well as many unkind staff some of my classmates have been shouted at and been told hes deaf and apparently some people have been told that to stay quiet they need to go to a mental health facility
the food is terrible i have found so many hairs in my food that aren’t mine as well as lumps and my friend had the jacket potato that looked like a citrus on the in side. everything is blamed on yr 6 and i hate being at this school i cant wait to leave in july. this school is a living hell and i hope it burns down.
i really hate this school i dont know how many time i have gone home crying because of it the quility has gone down especially with staff i wish i could give it 0 stars even if yr 6 says nothing we still always get the blame and a large amount of bullying has been going on. some if my friends are getting hurt and we have to do the dirty work for the teachers so they look good but they dont this school can go rot it hell.
It was so bad the food is rubbish and the staff are extremely disgusting and rude called my friend deaf and dumb and said to a year 6 that we need to go to a mental hospital to stop talking like damn
This school was once good, but things have gone downhill. There are loads of accidents on the school playground, and lots of bullying going on aswell. I have heard only bad things about this school. Some of the things people enjoy, but even then, something bad is bound to happen.
Once upon a time this school was good. Unfortunately things have gone downhill dramatically last year with the current headteacher. Good staff have left and are still leaving. Bad teachers have stayed and are supported for their lies and deplorable behaviour with our children.
To the headteacher: The new behaviour policy you're putting our children through the first days of this new year is comical.
What about the behaviour policy for yourself and the teachers? This is what many of us parents are asking.
You do NOT listen to the parents and your concern is NOT the wellbeing of our children. Your poor choice of staff and leadership are taking our school down, and you're taking our children' s education with it.
