If you aren't a perfect pupil with good grades, this school doesn't care about you. They are shocking at safeguarding. From bullying to sexual abuse, so much goes on in this school unchecked. This school prides itself on grades but doesn't care about pupils wellbeing. Staff will pass the blame to and fro, not wanting to be held responsible for your child struggling.
This has to be one of the worst places to be for your mental health, the school do not challenge higher achieving students nor help the lower achieving students. They are all put together in mixed attainment classes and it is pointless. The children there are vile, there is a new case of bullying everyday and it is not stopped. The building is rotten, there are leaks, mould and rats! The teachers care more about your uniform/ hair/ appearance than your learning and mental health. Some teachers are always shouting in a very aggressive tone for simply asking to go to the toilet! This place needs to change.
I’ll be honest sometimes i don’t like the school based on some of the silly things they do that don’t make sense in my head, but i do love it. the drama department, the extra curricular activities and the teachers who put in all that extra effort. despite its many flaws, trashy toilets and overcrowded hallways, it is a good school and i enjoy attending
Overall it is a very diverse school and many are accepting of different backgrounds, but, some are not. There are many rules to keep away misconduct but one there were two incidents that I know of when a student, white, called others students the N word… The teachers didn’t call their parents but only had a chat with the student… But after a while, the teachers did many useless assemblies on equal right, as if talking to a bunch of 11-16 year olds in a 30 minute mass is going to change someone..
Some teachers are very willing to do their job and help the students excel in their learning, but some, have terrible teaching skills. There are many physical incidents but most are handled and the students are punished.
A solid Catholic school that thrives itself on the Catholic ethos and the relationship between staff and students. The behaviour is average and so is the level of teaching. The teaching does the job and teachers are very willing to help if you need support. The pastoral support is excellent through my experience. The support is there and on hand if you are struggling with anything.
A very diverse school if not one of the most diverse schools in Nottingham. However, there are some issues with discrimination surprisingly. A unnecessarily strict school but if you do at least the minimum, you’ll come out with a solid education.
There was this one time in Year 10-11 we had about 3 or 4 new physics teachers come in which did disrupted the classes learning. Other than that I’ve never had a bad experience in school.
