Awful school, never sending my child here again. Awful behaviour by students, no respect whatsoever. One toilet for over a 800 pupils. This school should be taken down.
i went to this school. however i left in year 10. that school shouldn’t even be called a school anymore. the teachers there are just rude and do not care about anything other than the schools reputation. i was going thru a situation that had happened and the so called “safe guarding team” one of the teachers blamed me for what i was going through, she said and i quote “what you’re going through you brought it upon yourself”. not to mention the rules especially about toilets. you were not allowed to go to the toilet during lesson time and if by that 1% chance you did get told yes there would be a call out sent where a member of staff would get a notification on an ipad to come and collect you and half the time they never turned up. which i think is wrong bc it’s against our basic human rights. another problem is bullying. bullying is the biggest issue in that school and 9/10 it’s never sorted correctly and sides are taken. i’ve experienced this myself. the head teacher ms stacey jordan i believe either stepped down as head or was taken out of the job. but if you’re planning on sending your child to this school i highly recommend you don’t. it will destroy them mentally as it did me.
I hate this school for multiple reasons. The teachers don't care, the students are loud and the amount of bullying there is unbelievable. For example I tried to talk to the staff about my mental health and how useless I feel yet all they cared about was why I wasn't in choir. The littering there makes the school look like a dump. But the worst thing for me might be the students. They're loud, obnoxious and rude. My friend got bullied so much for being herself that she had to leave and even then she told me that her new school was better than this one.
if you go to this school you will never be the same ever again. The food is eh, the bullying isn’t dealt with properly, if they changed the school outfits at the last second, it’s freezing, you can never get work done, the safe guarding is poor bc they will just say grow up or stop being over dramatic and then they say it bc we worry about you obviously not, the assembly is poor, most teachers a disgusting as for such sleeping with a student or going onto a inappropriate site, line ups are horrific, the good students will get told off, the threats are horrible, loads of students has died in this school, teachers never care about the death of this school, the school lockdowns or terrible if there is a shooting like the shooter can see us as we are in the Fing back.
DONT GO TO THIS SCHOOL WHAT EVER YOU DO ITS A DEATH TRAP TO ALL STUDENTS DONT GO, STAY SAFE, GET AWAY FROM HERE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN.
I would recommend going to this school. The bullying isn’t felt with properly, they are the most high risk of someone getting murdered or su!cide. They had multiple police people come to this school and when the police is gone the students will mimic the police of what they did and make it think that being a cop is funny, if you had a problem and tell the safe guarding they will say to get over yourself or stop being a dramatic person. You come out they will tease you and make fun of you. And that is why I would not recommend this school (oh and be careful of the food)
Genuinely the most traumatic 5 years of my life, I finally left recently and it's made me realise just how awful my time here really was
I don't want to say any personal experiences as I wish to stay anonymous but the way the teachers handled students mental health was abysmal, there were actual hate crimes that took place on schools grounds in which nothing was done
The head teacher is a good for nothing snake who doesn't know how to run a school, it's impossible for parents to actually talk with her as she is always "unavailable"
she cares more about protecting the schools image and reputation and could care less about her students which need extra support
students are thrown into isolation over the smallest things and are forced to miss out on learning which explains why more and more students are failing their GCSEs
I am really scared to go into this school why? Because I am being illegally harassed by a certain student. The teacher will do nothing about it. My and my mum are think about calling the police and bringing them into school with me. Don’t not bring you child here. This school will only make everything worse. Trust me I have been there for three years. I have a mental health issue, I am now getting social anxiety and I am becoming more scared of a school than ever. Please don’t bring you child here if they have needs.
Note: I left last summer so things may have changed since.
Most of the teachers were trying really hard but there was a very clear lack of management and organisation that was very difficult to handle, especially during covid. The decision made were so asinine even a group of kids could see that they weren't going to work as wanted. This brought down the quality of teaching no matter how hard the teachers worked.
While it's not all of them, a lot of the staff in higher positions don't view students as people, they had a lot of things that were clearing exercising control over us, not because it was good for us (e.g. herding us with whistles.)
Mental health was tokenised but they rarely did anything to actually help, even if it was things that they could control (school stress, GCSEs etc.)
The culture around casual bullying and discrimination was not handled well and even accepted in certain circumstances.
The uniform reforms didn't effect me personally but it still sucked for a lot of people and it improved absolutely nothing.
Overall they care way more about their image than their students and it makes the place unbearable.
Telford priory is the type of school you would probably get on very well at if you/your children have never had any difficulties in school, don’t have any additional needs, learning difficulties, mental health issues, not easily overwhelmed and can sit quietly and do as you’re told all day, oh and can achieve high grades. It’s been a few years since I left but from what I’ve heard the school has only gotten worse. They don’t seem to understand that people are individuals with their own individual needs. There were some good teachers there who genuinely cared, I saw many of them become stressed and have to take long periods of time off or leave altogether in the few years I was there. Other teachers were shockingly awful.
The building itself looks similar to a prison, the inside is plain with enough white walls to drive anyone insane. It’s squeezed between the lesuire centre facilities, which weren’t used all that often considering.
This school has done nothing but impact me in a negative way, the staff are rude, support is useless. Over-the-top punishments for doing things any other school would allow.
I am a student and I am scared because apparently the teacher won’t let u go to the toilet even if you have a toilet pass and two girls who go there want to batter me so I don’t look forward to it
Not a bad school, by far. Many parents have complained about it, and have resorted to opening a Facebook page. The head teacher isn’t the best in charge, and may need to changed, but many teachers in and around the school are excellent.
I've been here for about a year now, and haven't had a good experience so far.
I often feel like the teachers don't listen or even care about problems you tell them, whether personal or related to the work. I'm often pushed too hard for some subjects and it becomes overwhelming for me, but I'm not supported. Only belittled for not meeting the high expectations for a subject. Sometimes in front of other students.
My mum often has to ask for clarification with things she is told by the school because they don't provide enough information.
As another review has mentioned, mental health information is often filled with false information that someone who has had mental health problems would know isn't real.
In situations of bullying and discrimination, I've heard people saying that they felt silenced by unhelpful teachers that didn't help the situation.
However, some of the school meals are good. It's a shame that this is my positive point in this review,
Overall, this school has unhelpful staff, a lack of information that is actually informative, and harsh consequences for not always being perfect.
I’m a person with ADHD, an anxiety disorder and I’m bisexual. This school failed to help me with any of these. The in-school support system is unfortunately lacking and didn’t help me with any of my issues. I informed them that being in school was a huge trigger for my anxiety and was making me suicidal. Nothing was done to actually help me or guide me other than the obvious “go see a doctor”.
Mental health is discussed as a light, clean thing that’s only temporary. Any mental health discussion was filled with false information that can easily be avoided if anyone with mental health issues or neurodivergent people were asked to contribute.
Any negative attitude of teachers or students is ignored. No one is held accountable for bullying, harassment or actual hate speech.
The worst school ever. I’m currently a student there with autism and they treat me horribly. There’s both students and staff who are extremely rude and my mental health has declined heavily since being here. I fear they’re going to completely ruin my future. I hope you never have to go here.
