DO NOT COME TO THIS HELLHOLE!!

I do not recommend going to this school. First the food is horrible I became sick bc of the food. The teachers DO NOT care about ur mental health they say they do but they rlly don’t. And there are some rlly creepy teachers that I have experienced them being creepy. And some teachers will just send u to study for no reason and give out warning like homework. There are some rlly nice teachers but the majority of them aren’t. And the rules are ridiculous like now we are not allowed to have any decorations on our shoes and we have to have a black bag and I find that ridiculous. And one time I went to mr oaks ( headteacher) bc I had a problem then he just told me off, like everyone hates him. Then one of my friends was upset and told the teacher and all her said is “ I don’t care she is always upset” and sent her to study. If u are considering sending ur kids here DO NOT!!!

I would avoid.

The school isn’t up to standards when it comes to disciplinary action as they will not take much physical action or responsibility when it comes to fights or hate towards other students. Furthermore they will punish u greatly of u have incomplete homework for considerably valid reasons for example you will get a 90 minute homework detention no matter how much you have got incomplete. And the fact that the teachers (not all) are kept busy dealing with inconsiderate behaviour by students who control the teaching staffs attention meaning that teachers often ignore and shun students who need actual help with mental support yet they claim to have full support for others mental health.

please don’t send you child here

I send my daughter there just for her to have to leave in year 10 due to the inclusion staff bullying her. My daughter has suffered from anxiety and is often very sick because of it as of that she had staff that’s supposed to help her but instead of helping her she was constantly told by the staff that was supposed to help her that she is a spoiled brat and is going to fail her GCSEs, she as of then come home crying because of that they have told her. She got really sick and couldn’t attend school we even had a note from her doctor saying so, but the school were difficult every step of the way as they didn’t want to do home learning to the point we had to sent her to a different school. DONT EAT THE FOOD THERE my daughter and my friend had some chicken from the school cafeteria they got food poisoning and had to stay off for a couple of days.

Bad school

They never worked with what's best for the students they say there no bullying but there is big time. They try to push the students in to things they are not ready for . All they care about is the uniform policy and have them line up to for inspection so all together a very bad school

Overall bad

I think this school is awful. The sexism, racism, and homophobia is disgraceful. Oh, and also the ridiculous rules this school has put in place. First of all, sexism. The female students are treated awfully. They are sent to purchase a new skirt 22’’ which costs up to £36. I think these prices are outrageous! Especially with the costs of living lately, and having it rolled up leads to a detention, or study room if failed to unroll. Teachers dont seem to understand that having it unrolled gets you bullied on another level. “Neek” is one of the many words people say to fellow students with unrolled skirts. They introduced these new skirts to stop “Male teachers and students be attracted”. I think this is absolutely atrocious. Bare in mind these female students are 12-16, and male teachers are over 18. Can they not control themselves? It appears not. One male teacher was known for looking up girls skirts but im glad to hear he has left. I see boys walking around with their trousers sagging where you can see there boxers. I dont see them getting told to pull up there trousers? If its inappropriate for a girl to have a rolled skirt, it should be inappropriate for a boy to have his boxers on show! Second of all, the bullying. It is not dealt with well enough for students to be satisfied. This school has caused many people anxiety, and other mental health problems all because of the way they do things at this school. If you have learning disabilities, you get sent to a place called inclusion where you get laughed at. Overall the way they do things at this school is awful.

i hate it here

hi. i’m a student at the regis school and i think there’s some issues we need to address. one being uniform, it’s so unnecessary to have to get a skirt with two logos so you have to have it unrolled all the time. i don’t think the school realises that girls get bullied for having their skirt unrolled?? it makes them look like a “neek” and a “weirdo” which can classify as bullying, they say “yeah, so we’re doing this so everyone has it unrolled so there’s no bullying” all/if not most of the people making fun of them are wearing trousers. which brings me to my next issue: the lack of care for mental health. i’ve had some pretty horrible things said to me by teachers and students. one teacher told me im going to fail in life and get nowhere and die. it really hurt to hear this and i never tried in his lesson ever again, because it wasn’t worth it?? i was going to fail anyways apparently. and don’t get me started on the students of this school. the way they treat poor year 7 is disgusting. the school gives no fucks about mental health and hasn’t ever tried to give support to those who really need it. it’s absolutely ridiculous. additionally, one time i brought a chicken burger from the canteen and it was pink. GROSS. the slt team. some are genuinly kind and caring but some are genuinly vile humans. i have been absolutely screamed at and bombarded by a specific member of slt for a skirt that was rolled up once. she gave me 2 green slips that day. it genuinly baffles me how strict this school is and that it cares more about how it looks from someone who doesn’t go here than a student who is genuinly suffering. can we please talk about how fake the school is when ofsted came to visit?? mr oakes gave my year an assembly basically threatening us that we had to be amazingly behaved or the punishment will double/triple. why not show the school for what it really is? a shithole.

Avoid bringing children to this school

AVOID BRINGING KIDS TO THIS SCHOOL
My opinion of the school listed
1:bad hygiene/ rubbish everywhere
2: extremely racist/sexist/homophobic
3 teachers don’t care about student mental health
4: 90 minute detention for not complete a small part of homework
5: they say they are a rights respecting school but they aren’t in any way for example they don’t let anyone go to the toilet in lessons and if they do the headteacher (who is the worst) will put you back in lesson anyway
6: so many scraps (fights) at break
7: read all the other 1 star reviews for in detail information

Overral my experience in this school was extremely bad. The homework they set does not help the students, instead it gives them stress and anxiety. The teachers (except a few) are extremely bad at teaching and don’t care about the student’s wellbeing. Students aren’t allowed phones out at any time even at break and the school is extremely sexist to both male and female students.
SO DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILD TO THIS SCHOOL IF YOU DONT WANT THEM TO BE STRESSED AND DEPRESSED

! AVOID DONT BRING YOUR CHILD HERE !

The regis school is overall a bad place, as someone who was a former student at the regis. They lie about referring students with autism so they can get the help they need, as someone who was a victim in that it’s horrible. The students are spiteful and definitely need a word with, the homophobia and racism is a joke, the teachers are horrible and condone the students behaviours. They don’t care about their students. absolutely horrible place, i left with no gsce’s, panic attacks before leaving for school in the morning, teachers lying to me to me and my mum every day. I was so scared to be in school, I never spoke up about what happened there. Did i mention that they had to make the girls skirts below the knees because, and i quote, "high skirts distract the male teachers”, the girls there are like 11-16 why are adult teachers getting distracted by it?? It’s disgusting and their behaviours are downright sickly. They refuse to allow students to go to the toilet especially girls who are on their periods. This school needs its teachers retaining and seriously needs investigation into its conduct. 90 minutes detention for not completing a small part of some homework that the child, needed help with due to missing a lesson because they had covid19 and was sick, absolute joke. And this is only one example of a long list of failing. One of my sister’s left because of the bullying, the homophobia and the sexual assault the male students are doing.

Please avoid this school as best as you can, nothing good will come out of it. The school only cares about profiting and as long as it’s still a school nothing will change. There’s been days I hope it shuts down because it’s that bad. I hope more students/former students or maybe even teachers can speak up about their situation because it’s absolutely appalling.

Bullying is outragous, you get bulleid for anything and nothing is done.

teachers are useless, verbely abuse you at any point for any reason.

Surprised noone has killed themselves in the bathrooms at this place. Id never ever wish to relive the 4 years of torment i went through at this school.

I hope it gets shutdown and burnt to the ground. DO NOT GO HERE

don’t send the kids here

this school is an absolute sh!t show. saw a cockroach in the hallway, the place is literally infected with bugs, so unhygienic. everywhere you go there is at least like 1 piece of ham on the floor too so no wonder there are so many bugs in the school.
the principal doesn’t care about no one, only if you gaslight him into thinking he’s being discriminative towards you.
if you tell him you’ve got cramps and you need to go to medical he will send you to your lesson, like what? student rights? more like student fights. there are so many fights at the school which makes it funnier tbf.
safeguarding is crap here, they do nothing but call the sh!tty social services.
all the pe teachers are so rude to you, and i have overheard them talking about other students in a negative manner. which was so disgusting because i reported it and nothing happened.
also if you want your child to get bullied and nothing to be done about it then this is the right school for you.

don't go here lol

Everything about this school apart from a few teachers is horrible. There is so much bullying, especially for a queer and trans person like myself and it is either completely looked over or an extreme approach is taken, affecting students which it had nothing to do with. it's honestly appalling the amount of education we get on the LGBTQ+ community, we get one pshce lesson, a club that quite frankly doesn't get much done and some incorrect flags. When slurs had been written on the past rainbow flag, not only did the principle hardly punish the culprit but he didn't even take that chance to replace it with the correct flag. This school also treats mental health incredibly poorly: when I first joined I got sent to study for having a panic attack, I also only found out about the counseling they offer over a year in, and then the specific help for neurodivergent people months after that.
In summary, this school only cares about what united learning thinks and is irredeemably ignorant of any issues with students.

im a student and the principal is barbaric :D

i’m not sure how to describe this school tbh, its a lot of different things. i was lucky, bc in contrast to reading about other peoples teachers i guess i had some pretty nice ones, except for my product design teacher. he expects you to remember all steps to smth from one day over like weeks and you’re too scared to ask him for help bc he’ll probably yell at you in front of everyone. instead of asking the teacher, the person showing you how to make this, i had to go to someone in class instead to help me all bc he yells at someone for asking the same question as someone you didnt hear earlier 10 minutes ago. he was atrocious and i never want to see him again. the food isnt that bad actually its pretty good. the uniform is pretty stupid. theyre forcing people to buy new uniform with the logo on it which is horrendous bc they know that parents could he struggling in the current predicament as of now yet they force them to decide whether their child can continue properly learning (in study room until ‘proper’ uniform) or food and energy. they make them buy longer skirts down to the knee (depending on body type) bc its ‘distracting’ and probably bc loads of girls kept rolling it up so that boys would look at their ass and so do male teachers and its gross bc not only are male teachers who look at that are sickening but also its their problem that they dont properly discipline the children that roll up their skirts. instead they waste parents money on clothes things that werent necessary all because they fail to stop it themselves. earlier in the year, my tutor was giving out covid tests for ppl that wanted them. i did not. after tutor, he asked me why i didnt want it. i said i dont want to use it bc not only my mum doesnt want me to but neither do i and he basically told me off without telling me off that i was endangering people because of my decision. some teachers are really nice but my goodness do we have a tyrant of a principal. i am atheist but the way things are going and hes acting god help us. it would be really nice to just go to his office and tell HIM about all the wrongs he has done. im sure he bloody realises no one likes him there cant be a single student in this school that likes him and im sure he knows that and god knows how hes still under the illusion that there will be a single good review from a STUDENT at that school. also once one of my supply teachers was kinda silly billy bc she knew she got fired if she swore at the boy who was being rude and had to go to the study room so she went ‘GO TO THE STUDY ROOM…GO TO THE STUDY ROOM NOW..- YOU SILLY BOY.’ something like that anyway. she obviously got a bit personally angered that surprise surprise some boy was gonna be rude. even i could remain more calm when sending someone to the study room, christ- anyway their discipline sucks once i was in class and for a good while i sat next to this boy he was so annoying like something sent from hell just to annoy me he would constantly make fun of me for barely talking BECAUSE I WAS CONCENTRATING and wasnt a bitchy loud person like him and it was difficult to concentrate and learn when he was laughing with his friends about stupid things i hated him he poured water on my seat too and i know its not as bad as the things on some reviews here but it really was in the way of my learning and no i could not ask to move seats or report him because ONE: i bet nothing would even happen she’d just tell him off a bit and then he’d know i ToLd On HiM TWO: thanks to this lovely anxiety this school helped me develop a bit more theres no way id ask about that to her plus too late now ill probably have a whole new teacher overall in september let alone seats. anyway this school only cares about money which is why they moan at you so much about attendance and dont want you to leave the school and ofc all schools do this, but how you and the teachers have to be on best behaviour when the review people come because god forbid they find out how people really act that this isnt a model school no shit im done now cos that was a massive paragraph and ugh thats long so bye yeah they just care about money not your mental health just you being there learning. I want to kill myself

This place is a absolute hellhole. The teachers are the most racist homophobic abliest people I have ever met, not only that EVERYONE here is sexist.

First off let's address the racism, during the start of year nine we read of mice and men and my WHITE English teacher said the N word multiple times and used the excuse that it's in the book?! Like what the actual hell. Not only that but teachers pick onthe black students and always blame them for something someone else has done.

Now the homophobia/transphobia, in my English exam I wrote about how being a gay trans guy affects me and my identity in school and my teacher purposely gave me a bad mark for it and they even wrote a little note about it saying how talking about that stuff is inappropriate? Not only that but u aren't allowed pins and I would quite like to not be misgendered all the time during class. Also the pride flag got ripped and torn apart and we all know who it was but they didn't get a dt a study room nothing It is DISGUSTING.linking back to the transphobia I can't have my hair as short as I want it to be because I'm afab but the amab people can have shaved heads and look like actual ballsacks like what the actual hell. Also I can't wear the boys pe kit because I'm in the girls pe like I feel so disgusting in my body while wearing the pe kit.

The teachers are the most abliest things to exist ever, as an autistic person its absolute torture being in silence and having to listen to people breathing, hearing the pens on the paper and peoples clothes moving around, I've had several breakdowns because of it and teachers done nothing. NOTHING.

The school uniform is also the most sexist thing ever all the rules on uniform are aimed towards the girls uniform
-can't have shorter skirts than 22 inches
-can't wear makeup
-can't have specific tights
It's absolutely disgusting how Mr oakes thinks he has the right to control our bodies and how it looks.

The Regis School (hell hole)

it's literally the worst school iv'e ever been to. every year or so we have an anonymous review of the school where we talk about the issues we have and what we've enjoyed about it, but the school never addresses the issues we speak up about and instead have an assembly on all the good reviews we have left even though i have never spoken to anyone leave a good review ever. last year a friend of mine spoke up about the horrible way people act in pshce and how it negatively affected someone who had been sa'd and absolutely nothing had been done about it. they completely ignored the multiple people who complained about it and instead acted as though out of 1800 students, about 1000 of then complained about something or other and instead decided that the most obvious solution was to change our five period day to four periods. because that definitely did something.
some people tore down the pride flag and ripped it and wrote on it and no one was given study room or even a detention, no assembly on it, no teacher even spoke about it, they just replaced it and carried on. everyone knows who did it and they didn't even get a slap on the wrist. i get called slurs almost on the daily and the racism, homophobia, transphobia, and ableism is outright disgusting. which again, nothing is done about. in fact, i've known teachers to encourage it. theres a rainbow club after school which some of my friends go to which they say is alright, but other than that there's absolutely nothing. there's nothing to support nuero divergent or disabled students other than the small amount of legal requirements in exams and those alone are extremely hard to get. the amount of people i know who struggle in class and exams due to bot having access to anything that might help them is actually astounding.
the school speaks of originality and personality but refuses to let people cut and dye their hair anything that isn't "normal" colours/length, you can only have one stud in your ear, no facial piercings, 22" skirt with the regis logo showing at the top and bottom (which looks different on different people and their body types so on tall ppl it looks short and on short ppl its too long and teachers are constantly trying to tell people to pull down their skirts even when they're unaltered and unrolled because of peoples body types), either opaque tights or black ankle socks (detention for any other colour socks. they literally make you lift up your trousers so they can check.), black, polishable shoes with no logo, the list goes on regulating how you can dress and look. not to mention the lack of regulations on the boys uniform and the fact the uniform rules are mostly focused on the girls uniform. they speak of originality but force students to be the same, dress the same, think the same. there is nothing original in this school apart from maybe the most original amount of bs i've ever seen. not only that, but due to them putting the regis logo on everything (including the pe kit?), all of the school clothes have doubled in price, meaning that most parents have had to make the choice of food on the table or school clothes in this cost of living crisis.
i have never known a student to be happy in school, and i'm about to go into year 10. if i could leave, i would, but unfortunately that is impossible for me at the moment due to my upcoming gcses and where i live.
the teachers and staff are horrible, the working conditions are horrible, let alone the working conditions for anyone neurodivergent or disabled, the lack of discipline for those who are racist, homophobic, etc. and the need to overly discipline those just trying to live authentically as themselves is disgraceful. im genuinely ashamed to be apart of and go to this school. please don't go here <3

Don't even think about it

This place is a absolute hellhole, homophobia and racism isn't dealt with, teachers have a God complex and think they have the right to abuse us.

I'm going into year ten and I am absolutely horrified, the teacher I have for physics is the one teacher that has not taught me anything in the past, the English teacher I have gave me bad grades for writing about being a gay and trans student here and the struggles of it, I've struggled every day from trying not to kill myself because of the teachers and don't even get me started on Mr oakes the head teacher gosh I hope he gets a life soon where he's not destroying the mental health of his students

'We encourage creativity ' then why can we only have natural haircolours? Why can't we have a piercing? Why do we look like nuns? We can't speak up about how we are boxed in like this because we will get study doomed or get a detention. 'It's not professional looking ' babes shut your bald head up. Idc if it's unprofessional looking I want to be me.

Not advised

Honestly this school isn’t what it’s made up to be. They make it seem like a welcoming place but racism and homophobia is a massive issue. Safety isnt one of this school’s standards I’ve witnessed many people almost be thrown of the stairs most of which are year 7s. They don’t handle bullies very well. Some teachers are nice but overall just a bad school.

Very Poor

I believe the school is not all it cracks up to be, they are very infantilising towards the students and offer very little help with learning difficulties. When they do give you help they throw you into inclusion and make you again, feel infantilised and treat you like a child instead of a young adult. I would additionally not recommend their six form either.
