Bullying and racism is allowed to run rampant. If a student defends a friend against a bully being racist, they will be punished for it by being put into isolation, while the bully is allowed to go about their day as if they did nothing wrong.
The teachers will also try to claim no reports were ever made, despite numerous ones being placed
Bullying and Trauma Culture at Radcliffe - Then and Now
The racial bullying was off the chart when I attended. Teachers either turned a blind eye or blatantly declared it was nothing to do with them - they were just there to teach. BNP leaflets were passed around in Maths class, no racial slurs or graffiti were ever punished. One of my friends was spat at. School was a very hostile place for anyone of colour. Students wore skinhead attire & shaved heads and jeered & taunted minority students all day every day, with abandon. Left lasting trauma and depression in those they preyed on. An untold story of Radcliffe school. I would never send my children there under any circumstances.
My hope is/was that things change for the better. However, it's disturbing to know there's been a more recent case of a student who committed suicide due to bullying at this institution. Seems the legacy continues to present day - unchecked.
Daughter did management move as was struggling in previous school due to ASD. 7 days in and the headteacher decided to shout through a busy corridor at my daughter whom did not hear her! then after shouting OI!!!! my daughter turned and was asked where her blazer was! my daughter masks and can come across rude as she shuts down in situations. the headteacher decided she is not welcome at the school and failed the managed move, please note rules are to come in every day (she did that) never be late (she did that) go to lessons (she did that)
what a disgrace of a school!!! i only found out it had failed due to previous school contact me.
I asked for an email stating why it’s been failed, they said they will ask!!!
Legit do not deal with issues whatsoever no matter how serious it is, my friend reported a serious sexual assault issue to the school and I was there as a witness and what did the school do? Nothing. Only a call to the assaulter’s parents nothing else, not even trying to remove that person from any of my friends classes. I know another girl in the year below who has been dealing with a sexual assault case for FOUR YEARS. Four years yet they still put her in the same class as the person who hurt her. Seriously, what kind of school is this?!?!? And the toilet policies are absolutely ridiculous the amount of people who complained and what did they do? Make it worse. Locking literally all the toilets and what? Cramping like 3 year groups in one area? Locking them during class? Male teachers guarding the FEMALE toilets???? What the fuck?? I managed to get a bladder infection from this policy. Fortunately it was not very serious but I have complained for months and I still have no reply, no change, had to get one of the teachers to help me still no reply get your fucking mind fixed mrs headteacher cuz this school is ridiculous. And forcing us to pick a language? I fucking hate it, I have no use for my chosen language whatsoever. I started not doing any work in my chosen language’s class. I am a very good student and receive praise and good feedback from teachers except my language class because I don’t fucking try. I don’t want to learn you have forced me to pick a subject I don’t want to do for my gcses so I’m going to waste all the teachers time and effort and your educational materials and space. Fix this fucking mess of a school, thank you.
This place hangs on to the title of school very loosely.
They seem to care more about how they are represented more than the students.
The bullying problem is so obvious and yet all they do is sit there and shrug shoulders.
They have no idea how to deal with people with any form of mental disability, they just annoy them, treating them like they can’t integrate with any part of society because of their mental differences leading to many people in my year to leave. The only reason i stuck around is because i had no where else to go. The school would be better if i just got shut down.
My school is equivalent to a abandoned house, badly looked after, broken tables and chairs, the students are non stop crazy, I'd rather go back to primary.
Awful place, left earlier this year and it is genuinely so bad. Teachers couldn’t care about anything other than a paycheck. Could not deal with covid to save their life and the amount of times i would see teachers fail to discipline bad kids is awful. Never would send my child there. Us as year 10s were promised a new sixth form area that would be ready for us when we joined sixth form and there is still a hole in the side of the building. Bad Headteacher, Bad Staff, Bad everything. Would never send my child there.
its fair to say me and most of my other classmates left radcliffe extremely underachieved and depressed. i had years of issues with bullying that was never taken care of, when i came out to them about my self harm they made me stay for two hours after school in a locked room while they probed me with questions, how did you do it? what with? can i see?, in an extremely pressuring manner, things i would have to explain to a doctor anyway which is what i was there for, a referral.. asif the situation wasnt already traumatizing enough they always pressured me. also i remember my friend being kept behind because she dropped a water bottle out the window and i was the last person to head out the door, i turned around and said "meet me at the bench" and started to walk back out when a teacher came into my face and screamed "get out". and its these things that happened that made me have absolutely no faith in my education, i dont want to be around these people, i cant afford to move to another school, so ill fake being ill so i wouldnt be harrassed by the staff. it was terrible and the last day i cried because the depression diddnt go away as soon as we were allowed to leave for the last time, it still hasnt
Genuinely so terrible. The school makes you do french but previous years did not have to they have a shit policy with bullying and the covid rules are never followed resulting in a unsafe school. The teachers like 4 of them care and the rest Seem to hate their jobs.
The school sight is really nasty and the school lunches are vile. I remember having rice that was still hard and potato that was not cooked. The teachers are really strict and there are hardly any after school activities.
Schools bad poor rules in place against covid putting everyone at risk , all yr groups mixing and every year group has been sent home on at least a 2 week isolation twice the teachers are dumb asses and don't go to the school teacher dont listen to you
Meh, its ok... just... okay my history teacher and art teacher are nice I guess idk, gets alllott of bullying the school do nothing about it... don't realy recommend, school are a bit rubbish with bullying.
