My experience with the London School of Science and Technology has raised significant concerns. While the institution claims to provide quality education, several troubling observations cast doubt on its integrity.
There appear to be issues with professional conduct among both staff and students. Allegations of inappropriate activities, including a culture of alcohol abuse and misconduct, are unsettling and paint an unfavorable image of the campus environment. Such behaviors are wholly inappropriate for an academic institution and undermine the values of learning and growth.
Additionally, there are accusations regarding questionable financial practices, such as misusing student finance systems. Reports of staff allegedly coaching students to exaggerate disabilities to claim higher allowances warrant serious investigation. This not only reflects poorly on the institution but also compromises the legitimacy of those genuinely in need of support.
Academic standards are also a concern. Reports of lecturers with limited English proficiency and claims of staff completing assignments for students challenge the credibility of the degrees offered. Academic excellence relies on maintaining ethical standards, and any deviation from this can harm both current students and alumni.
It’s vital that such concerns are thoroughly addressed by the appropriate authorities to uphold the integrity of higher education and ensure that institutions genuinely serve their purpose as centers of knowledge and development.
Very toxic environment where bullying is left unchecked
This school has an excellent reputation for teaching and results. As a consequence it’s the school of choice for high achieving pupils. The standard of teaching on the whole is very good. The Head and Senior Management put out the message that they have high standards and expectations for behaviour. In reality this is just a lot of hot air. There is an extremely toxic culture of bullying in all years within the school. There are no proper processes or sanctions to effectively deal with negative behaviour. It seems they will deal with poor performance but don’t really care about bullying. Even when issues are raised the response is unprofessional and pathetic.
My children have both been subjected to sustained negative behaviour. I have witnessed it regularly when visiting the school. As the pupils leave there are groups intimidating single pupils, beating them, spitting at them, verbally abusing them. It seems out of control.
London School of Science and Technology (LSST) in the West Midlands has been a huge disappointment. The lecturers often lack English fluency, even though they claim to hold Master’s and PhDs, which makes understanding lessons very challenging. They are unhelpful and rude, often dismissing students' requests for support with comments like, 'You came for the money, so why do you need support? You’ll get paid.' This attitude shows a lack of professionalism and understanding of student needs.
The environment here feels unwelcoming and even hostile at times, making it difficult to focus on learning. If you’re looking for a place that offers quality education and support, LSST is not it. Avoid this school if you want a meaningful and positive learning experience.
LSST is a good school with lots of outgoing pupils but on the other hand there are a lot of bad pupils as well. There’s often arguments between pupils described as “banter” and more often than there should be is fights or “scraps”. Children who start these are dealt with appropriately but there could be some changes for the better. The facilities are very good as well as the food but there could be some better staff. I have quite often had some staff that would tell me off for doing things that I haven’t done and I know that sounds like something a kid would say but I’m being dead serious. I was once in a class and I was sitting on a row with me and a few girls. The girls were all talking when they shouldn’t have and I was the only one quiet. The teacher told me to shut up as I was the only boy. The teacher then said to me later on after I said to them that I wasn’t talking and it was the others “Why would I believe that? I know boys like you and the way you make up excuses.” Overall, there could be some changes for the better but a decent school.
A hateful place. Bullying is rife and out of control. The facilities and teachers are great but the atmosphere and pupil to pupil interaction is horrid. My child has been removed.
Not as good as it’s made out to be LOL. Need to remember that they’re a public school and that no ones paying to be there. Stop focusing on the bad kids and the smart kids and remember there’s others that need help. Sort bullying out and don’t punish the one that’s being bullied by moving them groups but punish the bullies
LSST is such a great school! They have so many supportive staff that help you to accomplish anything and they have such amazing facilities! I’ve been open to so many new opportunities here and I just have to say I absolutely love this school!!!
