i personally do not recommend this school
i do not recommend this school at all, i’ve been going to this school for 4 years and the majority of the teachers will not listen to you and instantly punish you will the behaviour rules even if you wasn’t in the wrong, very few teachers will sit and talk to you as if you go up to student services they will most likely send you away back to lesson, they may ask you to write a report on what happened and they say they will sort it but most of the time they will ignore your issue as “there are more important things to sort” a teacher at student services have said this to me when i had a real issue going on which was really effecting my mental health and they just sent me back to my lesson. Many people have left this school because of the poor behaviour system at this school.

Is good I guess. I live in the walls of Goodere, its very nice and toasty in there but I hate it when students bang on the walls, it gives me a headache and then I have to move, do you know whats it's like crawling around? Oh and also, that random person in year ten, I will find you. Just you wait. I've been stuck in here for months, why wont you let me out? Please? It's dark in here and its too hot in the summer. And the chicken nugget incident, i'm sorry bro.

The school is okay. The problem I have though is the food and some of the students. I am new there and a lot of students are quite nasty. A lot of them are really nice but there are just some that think it's okay to treat people like they are a piece of trash. Luckily the staff are really great and sort things out. The problem with the food is that it is disgusting and way overpriced. I had £5 on my account at the start of the day and only bought something at lunch, a bottle of water and a sandwich and I had 40p left. And the fact that they expect you to be there everyday and make us pay for food, we should get free school meals since half of us can't afford to pay £5 for water and a sandwich. Apparently they spent nearly £1 million on a building. Even one of the dinner ladies told me hat they have raised the food prices.. Tbh I don't find that okay. Also some of the staff are rude. The other day me and my friends needed to collect something from a classroom since our teacher told us to come get it at break and this cleaner started shouting at us to get out as soon as we walked into the building. She wasn't cleaning and was just standing there in the corridor. There was no need for that attitude. There is a lot of litter around the whole school as well.

Bullies were left unpunished, child being bullied was instead punished. Dress code quite unfair, not allowed yellow stitching on DMs but allowed white. Most teachers are nice, decent education but if your mental health is bad or at risk then do not go
Senco no help
Someone else has said the same senco are useless there. Treated like a naughty child, when struggling with mental heath issues.
Good and not so good
Used to be a brilliant school, for academic children that don't mind being talked down to still is. Some brilliant staff there, but others that are not. If your child has any sort of mental health problems I don't recommend it, Sen didn't get involved, so he was treated like a naughty child, his anxieties are so bad he now has to have home schooling. I had a very bad experience myself there and would never go back. Its shame as I say there are some brilliant staff there

the dress code for sixthform unequal as it targets feminine clothing and appearances with no alternatives especially for the warmer seasons. also bullying and serious matters like sexual assault aren't dealt with accordingly, still being let in the school with the poor excuse it's off school property for some cases.

aside from that the teaching is great and the afterschool activies and clubs are expansive to student's interests and fun.

Awful school
I am very unhappy, the dinner portions are atrocious. Went to the canteen for a wrap and they gave me less than half a spoon, very stingy and i’m very disappointed. I am growing, and they gave me 5 chips. Don’t eat here or go here cause the school is atrocious.Not only that but they have closed the study centre and no one has anywhere to sit as it is too cold and wet outside

SENCO is unfit for the job
The teaching staff are great and go out of there way to help but the special needs support is appalling the SENCO told us that our child who has a genetic condition that she's just an attention seeker and even blocked special statement on the grounds that they have seen her walking not taking into account the fluidity about chronic illness

From a purely academic perspective it is a good school, however there are lots of issues.
There are lots of issues with bullying not being dealt with or even the victim being punished more harshly than the bullies. There's no guarantee you'll be listened to if you report bullying. They deal with not having the correct uniform more harshly than bullying.
Some accommodations for disabled students are good, however some teachers ignore the accommodations that students get and that can lead to lots of problems.
There have been lots of incidents of discrimination from students, such as racism, homophobia, transphobia and ableism. It can be especially bad for nonbinary students.
There are some good aspects, but there is plenty that is not dealt with.

The staff are kind they sort bullying out on the same day very safe with covid last year their was one teacher that everyone didn't like but she's gone now

Hate this school, full of bullies and teachers are horrible. All kids are just horrible and have had once a slush tipped over me and my glasses snached of my face and stamped on and I had to pay for a new pair. School didn’t do anything at all about any of these things so I just gave up trying to report anyone
