why it is the worst school ever

School is just overall awful, you can't go to the toilet during lesson unless you have toilet pass even though It is a basic human need. Also, they only give you four minutes to get to a lesson and most teachers keep you back 2 minutes. For exampl, once my teacher kept me for 3 minutes and I had to go the other side of the school but somehow I still made it and once I had to go to the desperately and they didn't let me so I had to hold for 1 hour.

Brill school

I just wanted to give a huge shoutout to Nottingham Emmanuel School! 🎉 As a former student, I can't say enough good things about this amazing school. The teachers and staff are incredibly supportive and dedicated to helping students succeed. They create a warm and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. The wide range of extracurricular activities and clubs provided so many opportunities for personal growth and exploration. Plus, the friendships I made there are ones that will last a lifetime. If you're looking for a school that truly cares about its students and provides an excellent education, I highly recommend Nottingham Emmanuel School. It's a place where you can thrive academically and personally. Thank you, Nottingham Emmanuel School, for making my school years unforgettable!

Great school for all

Great school which ensures that all students have respect and are welcome. A Christian school but they ensure that all students can express their faith. Muslim students have a place to pray and even did an assembly on Ramadan. Head and the senior team are really trying to improve things

Disgraceful for Muslim community

Terrible, there was a
Student who wanted to pray and made sure that he wasn’t distracting anyone in the school and they still didn’t
let him it is a disgrace to the Muslim community.

My opinion on the Nottingham Emmanuel School

It's ok. Fights happen a lot and a lot of toxic people are there. Learning experience is mid. It's always disturbing and it's hard to learn during lessons. Most teachers are very strict and mean. Beware of Miss Pickett too!!

Nottingham Emmanuel school

When I first began here in year 7 it was all well and good but when the previous head teacher left and new head teacher and deputy heads come to the school it become so much worse. Teachers were hired that I’m telling you they can’t teach and when we complained bc yk GCSEs are kind of important we would just be sent to isolation and punished and shamed for our opinions. This school claims to support all cultures and religions but continuously try to push the concept of Christianity in our faces by telling students of other religions “ go read the bible so you can say you’ve read the most popular book in the world 😃” and then denying Islamic students to pray during Ramadan bc apparently there isn’t the staffing to do it. Many children were either told they couldn’t pray or that they must do it in front of their class. I’m not a religious person but it is basic knowledge that prayer is seen as something personal meanwhile some children were made to pray while the entire class watches on can feel humiliating. Teachers are also racist and homophobic and when these issues are brought to the attention of those in power nothing is done. They claim to have a 0 tolerance policy on bullying but in the space of 2 months I’ve had threats made to my entire family by a girl and when I talked to a teacher I was told “it was a joke she didn’t mean it” meanwhile I was fearing for my life so when I went to the head teacher and talked to her about the situation I get in trouble bc I made the teacher look bad to her boss. Another time a girl body shamed me constantly to the point I was to scared to get changed for p.e with the rest of my class and once again I go to a teacher to ask if there is anywhere else I can change. My request is denied and when I tell her I still feel uncomfortable I’m told I’m “over reacting” meanwhile the effect of the things that girl said to me has left some lasting damage and a constant worry I’m not good enough and I can’t be seen as female bc I quote on quote “have no tits so I can’t be classified as a woman and I don’t even have the right to be classed as a woman bc of this” comments like this which were reported were basically swept under the rug and therefore more comments were made constantly which lead me to developing an eating disorder and body dismorphia along with other mental health issues because of the schools lack of action when it comes to bullying. At the end of the 21-22 academic year most teachers left and found employment elsewhere which was especially difficult as me and other students agree that all the teachers that left were the ones we need and wish we could still have as we felt we were improving so much with them as our teachers.at the beginning of that academic year there were roughly 12 English teachers and then the following academic year we started the year with 3 English teachers that taught in the school the year before. If this review doesn’t highlight the flaws within this school I don’t know what will.

My experience as a former student

It was fairly average however the school did lack in a lot of funding so there where times where there wasn’t right equipment and printing was also limited and also the hygiene of the school wasn’t great some classrooms where untidy granted not only the schools fault as students would also be messy the weather conditions was HORRIBLE in the winter it was freezing no heaters and we wasn’t allowed to wear coats and In the summer it was boiling and the windows only opened up a bit however I can’t complain to much about that since it is a health and safety precaution but it would of been nice if all the rooms had some aircon as only the computer rooms have it as i found it hard to focus in these temperatures the school did however have a Brilliant system for water supply which I have to commend them on the water was crisp and fresh no complaints kept me hydrated and I was pleased. also another good thing this school had was a mix of diversity to say this is a heavily Cristian devoted
School the pupils and staff where very diverse which was brilliant also they never forced anyone to partake in any prayers or services the school had to offer which I appreciated also they taught other religions and cultures and educated everyone on different important issues. One issue I came with was sometimes the lift would be broken or have issues and since I was a wheelchair user it meant I was unable to get to any lessons that where on the top floor this made it hard to learn anything since I wasn’t actively in the lessons and was only given a presentation or a textbook to work off however majority of students wouldn’t need to worry about this issue since there is stairs this is just something personal to me and lastly I will talk about the food from the school canteen in my opinion I thought it was lacklustrer it got boring after a while it was okay but definitely not something I would be happy to eat my solution would be add more to the menu it is basic and same after same everyday add new products add more drinks because I think the staff and students are sick of the same old items in the canteen they have gone down this healthy route which in the school defence I presume that’s because of the government and Jamie Oliver’s rules but I would recommend going to the shops and buying a meal deal or something
