The school gave me PTSD and I was labelled as a difficult child. I have had a teacher tell me I was “stupid”, been told I was “going to get knifed”. Bullying, threats and weapons couldn’t have been a worse school luckily my parents moved me and believe it or not my grades increased and I was no long a problem child as they said word for word. Finished my Alevels and at Exeter uni now couldn’t be happy if you want your children to be happy don’t send them here I have never hated my life more.
Former student at the school going into my last year at university. I attended the school for three years before moving and it was horrible. There has always been some nice teachers but the management is awful. Having anxiety and wanting to go home they locked me in the isolation room refusing to let me leave and refused to contact my mum. If this reaches anyone I really hope you can change this. I always felt unsafe there was always someone with a knife secretly and nothing was done about bad behaviour but as soon as you need help with a learning need or anything they treat you like a bad misbehaving child.
very bad hygiene and teachers do not care about children's learning. very strict school and many misbehaved kids. do not even have a headteacher yet and their behaviour system is very strict and poor unlike it used to be a few years ago with the old headteacher. everything has gone downhill.
I hated this school as an ex student I thought after a year after being bullied in year 7 I should cover some things up everybody sprays water everywhere, fights happen every single day, people are not good in classes, fire alarm has been pulled by students wasting a lot of time. And pastoral is useless this was written in 2023 and the thing's happened in 2021-2022, I cried when I went home because of how bad it was do NOT send you're children here worst thing you can do, the food is amazing though, the clubs are alright, but you do not get LGBTQ+ information or collage, they set me a false isolation I was being beat up and fought back and got stuck for a WHOLE day only doing work. IF YOU ARE A STUDENT TELL YOU'RE PARENTS NO AND IF YOU ARE A PARENT TELL THE STUDENT NO PLEASE FOR YOU'RE OWN SANITY.
It’s was a horrible place to endure 5 years of your life in. There were many good aspects. However, negative situations are never dealt with properly or effectively. Harassment is rife and some teachers are rude and uncomfortable to be around. However education was good throughout my time there and most passed with needed qualifications
Had fun at the school but didn’t really learn much
It’s more of cheap babysitting
It’s a horrible school and every year I was there it just got worse and worse
The teachers were horrible, they had no faith in their students (this seemed to only be exclusive to the children who needed extra help though, able bodied and nurotypical children seemed to be left alone) Their policies are outdated and they just drain all hope you have, if you mess up in ur first year they will target you for the next 4 years
miss roe has been there for me and other students when we have had mental health issues and other issues
new behaviour policy has significantly changed the behaviour of the students
In my experience of this school, I have noticed that pastoral leads don't do anything about bullying and physical assault. Teachers and students bully others and the school doesn't know what to do in dangerous situations such as students carrying weapons.
The use of language from students in this school is unacceptable.
GCSE curriculum not completed before GCSE’s, struggling students ignored, bullying ignored, nasty child-like teachers, unfriendly students, awful food, mental health issues ignored & will be punished for showing symptoms.
They do nothing about bullying or so little that bullies think it is ok they also thatch very little about LGBTQ+ and the gender spectrum which is not good especially in our society nowadays.
