The school is an isolated system, having OTT rules such as: Cameras in toilets, no use of Phone (even if there is an emergency/ life threatening situation). The school has no creativity in the form of education; they teach as if you were in the 1900s. No talking, no bathrooms during lesson (even if you have a medical issue). It follows a system that strips students of the opinions, creativity and anything that regards having an outside life other than school.

King’s has built and sustained a strong reputation. This is not simply based on its high academic performance and student destinations, important those these are. Participating in the wide range of sporting and extra curricular opportunities gave me the confidence to secure an advanced apprenticeship. Most importantly the King’s culture of supporting and respecting everyone who tries their best is a great lesson for life. Thanks to my friends, peers and staff.
Lovely school, there are great people and amazing one of a kind experiences. Everyone is always willing to help. As a student there I would like this to be raised at the school, in the Newton block there is no air conditioning, so the rooms get incredibly hot, and the windows hardly open to about 5cm. Other than that The Kings School Grantham has such a wonderful reputation and history, I recommend it 10000%
The behaviour system is awful. Bullying is treated the same as a late piece of homework. The amount of homophobia and general comments about women and everything are awful. Lessons are ok as long as you get a good teacher. Although most don’t really care about your mental health
