As a member of the public my view of this school is based off of students. And I can say they in no way know how to behave. Although, I am specifically talking about your BAME students who travel out of London to attend this school. Shouting and throwing items on the buses, trying to not pay for tickets even though the tax payer funds their lifestyle. Tired of travelling to work between 1-2 pm and always seeing your erratic students, again, BAME students, who get extra privileges, as always seeing them out of the school before the rest of the students. Wish this school would just take in local students.
I would not recommend this school. I was a student here and I can tell you they did not care about your mental health. There was a small handful of teachers who cared or at least tried to help but the rest just didn't. There was multiple incidents of me crying down the phone to my mum because of how bad my anxiety had gotten and the teachers were only focused on me having my phone out inside school. They never asked if I was okay. They are too focused on the wrong things at the wrong time. Don’t go here, your mental health will deteriorate.
horrible school, the teachers don’t make the effort with kids when are out of school. e.g giving work out , whereas they expect to see proof of work. that had not been given. the rules here are ridiculous as people cannot express themselves otherwise they get cbc as they are “not following” the school rules. i do not have any positive reviews of this school as they need to put more of an effort in with the kids that struggle and care more about the mental health of these students.
I am a queer student at this school and they claim to be against homophobia and transphobia but they don't care about anyone using slurs.I love my friendgroup to death but it's getting way too bad, this school has caused me so much stress and even as bad as making me suffer with chronic nausea due to this, the student support are almost useless, I was really sick one day and wanted to go to the nurse but she told me I was fine and sent me back to lesson,in which I had a mental breakdown in,it was embarrassing, luckily I had sneakily texted my mum so she picked me up but apart from that the system is rubbish. The school is so online fake and is not as good as it seems, plus the hygiene of the grounds is awful. There is some stuff they're okay with like the learning support and some teachers are okay but overall,no.
Lazy teachers that want to strike. What a joke! They have struggled to pull themselves out of an ofsted mess yet acting like this. Total greed and lots of unhappy students and parents.
I have been in this school for under a year and I’m already regretting ever coming here. I’m a year 12 student and I’m being subjected to rule which are for children. Phones are banned across the school with Sixthform students having to put them in a clear plastic bag on the desk. It’s ridiculous. As well as younger students (secondary school students) having to email the staff room for permission to use the toilet… DON’T COME HERE
Awful school that's ruined many children's teenage years and education.
Minus stars would be more appropriate. Students treated worse than cattle.
Over strict on petty things like uniform - useless on bullying and sexual harassment.
Uses Isolation as punishment which should be illegal and damages Mental Health - which the school has zero idea how to deal with.
High turnover of staff - students left to teach themselves before exams due to having no consistent teacher.
Staff don't treat students like people, have little empathy or patience.
So as children like to express themselves through make-up, hair style/ colour and others things. Some schools allow children to dye their hair which I believe is good and there was nothing on this schools to say you can’t dye your hair it only states as long as your hair isn’t an extreme colour or style which is fair enough. However after one month my sister gets an email to say her hair colour is unacceptable which doesn’t make sense the colour was red but more of a dull it’s not like it’s bright red or neon colour it’s a natural colour. Anyway they said it’s not her natural colour so it’s not allowed. My sister says there’s loads of people in the school how have dyed their hair red and other colours too. So they are singling her out from the crowd. So she’s very upset as she feels like she’s been victimised over something so stupid. Instead of worrying about bullying and racism they rather pick on a girls appearance, i think it’s disgusting of a school to do this and they said that she has to go to their hair salon so they will change her hair. The school should be encouraging young students to express themselves instead of putting them down all the time.
terrible in regards to managing student mental health. they ram all this mindfulness and "How are you? How are you really?" stuff down our throats and it probably damages our mental health more than it helps. like come on.
they don’t care about mental health and are more worried about what you look like and how you dress at school instead if you’re struggling or you have problems.
the new head teacher is just spending money on sticking photo boards around the school and most of the teachers don’t care about their job so they don’t teach well.
and all they care about is their ofsted rating and the school is trash.
there are so many better schools out there that will help you when you need it.
Senior management is poor , school is only focused to improve their offsted rating and don’t really care about the students or their mental health. Some really good teachers here but are let down in certain areas for example maths , bit excel in the sciences and English in places , would recommend other schools over this
A few years ago when i started it was good, now the headteacher who took over has left leaving us in the dark. The school really went downhill after about 2017 and i wouldn’t recommend bringing your children here. Completely ruined my education and mental health if i’m being honest! Please note there’s better schools in the area.
