Always feel scared to go around the school, and feel like I’m gonna get pushed over or something like that, especially at recess, the amount of fights that go on and the amount of people that get picked on and the staff don’t do anything about it is ridiculous. Above that, most staff are lovely and supportive.
My main problem is that I feel unsafe during the break periods as people are always fighting, starting arguments, kicking things around and throwing food, plus the staff usually don’t notice.
My step daughter has been at highfield for 2 years now and is thriving beyond our expectations. This is down to the teachers and all the staff in the SEN department.
A great school with a diverse staff and students. Very welcoming school and a great sixth form.
They have many opportunities for students with sporting and the annual winter showcase or whole school production.
I go there and they are bad at making sense
One way system I understand but am l1 for being late is ridiculous you will notice the same people keep using it as an excuse but sometimes people can’t help it
No going to the toilet in lessons ok but doing 3 hrs in a row is horrible with no toilet break especially as a woman
It's a really good school with really good teachers, but sometimes the things teachers/staff do don't make sense, like the current one way system: sometimes you have to go all the way around the building to get to your locker or next class.
