Very good school, hot lunches which is always a plus, only bad thing I can think of right now is that Y7’s constantly get bullied by older students (y10-y13) and many of the teachers overlook it.
Overall the school isn’t bad, I am currently in my first year of sixth form so I know what’s going on. For the most part the facilitates are fairly good if a bit outdated and tattered in some departments but they serve their purpose. The choice of subjects however is something that is very good and allows for a wide variety. However certain teachers definitely need to go as some had managed to completely ruin all my interest in some subjects. Moreover if you have any issues there are measures there such as individual house learning support managers, peer mentors and a counsellor. However, like I imagine with most schools, bad behaviour is often overlooked with these people often being rewarded for doing even the slightest thing right, something which often acts as a kick in the teeth for those who consistently perform well with no really acknowledgement. In addition, large groups of people will often be punished and criticised due to the actions of a select few people causing trouble due to efforts not being made to properly find out the culprits and treat with the issue accordingly. However, there are still standout teachers that really do turn subjects around, a fact that definitely cannot be ignored.
