The Green School for Girls

As a student whose school closed during Year 10 (starting GCSE's) and joined the Green School I can say that my experience of support at the Green School was awful. I never usually leave bad reviews, but this is from the heart and at least 10 years after my experience. After reading correspondence between my parents and the year lead at the time, I can say that I received no extra support as mentioned to my parents. The students were allowed to openly bully me and although approaching the staff many times for support, I was placed in isolation instead of them confronting the obvious issues. When I say obvious it was clear day to day who were the main bullies, and instead of confronting this it was just allowed to carry on. I won't go in to details, but it got to the point where I couldn't physically face attending school and completing my GCSE's. I passed some remotely and just came in for exams, however absolutely no extra support was given to me at this time. Although the correspondence between the school and my parents shows support and guidance given to me, I saw none of this and now realise that this was a complete cover up to ignore the issue, because who cares about the odd "one" who slips past. At 28 I am extremely proud of what I have achieved, however am still dealing with the trauma of my time at this school. Take bullying seriously, because for you it may be a passing student but its someone's life.

have so many ridiculous rules that aren’t even valid. school toilets are LOCKED during lesson time which is unbelievably ridiculous considering it’s an all girls school. i am very disappointed with the one way system. every time you go in a door they always tell you to go through the other door and alternate without warning. teachers are not very understanding aswell.

The school has never been supportive in a way that is effective. There has been multiple sets of confusing and condescending rules in place during my time there. For example the rule that decided an adult member of staff had to be present in a dressing room while 30 young girls got changed for PE. This to me felt very wrong.

Most teachers work as expected however students are mostly rude and create an unsafe environment, even creating fear on the way back home. The indoor environment is very bad. I propose that measure regarding conduct in students and teachers to be at least more strict
