A very good school

Great school. My son is a pupil at The Downs and is a happy and confident child. He is flourishing academically. The standard of behaviour is high and the children appear to be respectful of each other and school rules. There is good communication between the school and parents.

Seriously.

You wear a single earring and it’s like you’ve just killed a teacher. They all overreact like you’ve genuinely done something bad. Of your skirt is too short you get yelled out. Yet the female teachers are allowed to stroll about in heels and the shortest dresses and skirts the own and wear 10 earrings in each ear yet shout at us for having 1. They complain about students not respecting them but if they want respect then they are going to have to start following the rules they make as well. If you want a will to live I strongly advise not to go here.

Outstanding

Absolutely wonderful, best secondary school I know and after having to sadly move away from this school it has made me realise how good it is.
