How is this ranked as one of the best schools in the UK
I've seen people get stabbed here, not heard of any punishment for them. People with evident mental issues are mostly ignored. The dress code belongs to a school in the early 20th century. The higher sets are prioritized and those in lower sets are mostly ignored, disallowing their creativity to be fully actualized. Whilst the food options are one of this school's best factors, I can't recall a time where there has been enough food for everyone, often leaving those held back without a meal.
Bullying is often ignored, even in front of a staff member. Along with this, staff members are mostly inadequate for a school with such 'high standards'. The punishment system is exploited by those who are on 'power trips', and not much is done to help those trapped in the system with a way out. For example, Isolation is often filled with the same people, as they have no incentive or help to become a nominal student.
Does the head teacher , deputy heads , and the heads of houses, view the reports? Are you listening? Are you prepared to prove everyone wrong...and make a huge difference? This is about our children being let down by the inadequate head, deputy head, inexperienced staff...the list is endless! Our children are our future if you cannot or don't know how to educate and support them...go and seek a living elsewhere!
Academically it's ok, but the amount of rampant homophobia and racism among students that nothing is done about, is unbelievable. Physical abuse especially because of homophobia is pushed aside, and students with invisible disabilities needs are often ignored. Theres barely any mental health support aswell. And if your skirt is even slightly above your knee you are told to buy a new one, the cost of uniforms is ridiculous and every size you go up the more expensive it gets. The school ignores bullying, and if you arent popular your time will be aweful. Girls dont do football or rugby in PE. Trans people have to argue to be put in the correct PE group, if they do especially trans men, are called slurs and harrassed by other students, and they also have to use disabled toilets not male or female. Apart from all of that its ok.
