Bishops castle community college isn't as food as it seems
If i could give it 0 stars i would, the headmaster treats students terribly if they have any additional needs or behaviour issues; he has physically hurt and sworn at students, been suspended from his position because of this and overshares his serious personal issues with students.
This school does pick up the pace when inspectors arrive but drop it almost immediately. Many students here are victims of bulling and this school has had previous sexual assaults. Vaping, smoking and even illegal drug problems are terrible; the school doesn’t attempt to prevent any of this.
If you care about your child’s education, mental health and their wellbeing, id suggest your avoid of this School, best of luck.
Just really bad and the food is embarrassingly bad. Oh and those assemblies are just cringe please stop. (More school trips are necessary I did one on year 7 and didn't do another till year 11, embarrassing
Uniform is basic but it's not too bad we don't have ties. There is also this dumb thing called coaching where we have to stay behind for half an hour and do homework but we never do we just mess around. School is soooooo boring and they need try to make learning fun so we never actually learn anything it's kind of bad. Also the canteen food is minging pls don't ever try it. That's all bye
Teachers are no help with mental health issues. Tell parents what they want to hear then don’t actually do it for the child. The headteacher gave my daughter a negative because she had a leaf on her shoe and he doesn’t let boys have normal NATURAL hair cuts. He’s ridiculous. The whole school is ridiculous. The student support/mental health person makes the kids mental health 10x worse and half the staff need to be replaced.
I attended this school for a few years, and I really enjoyed it. The teachers are brilliant and I had loads of extracurricular opportunities - for example every other week on a Friday afternoon you can do things ranging from horse riding lessons to a film club.
Very small school - only about 100 pupils per year - with high teaching standards.
Lots of outdoor space to walk around or play games at lunch and break.
