My child going to leave this year all I want to say is beware the head of behaviour in North site absolute criminal he shouldn’t work with kids 👎👎 I don’t like the remarks he makes to my daughter aswell he is very rude towards me and other parents who’s children goes to this school
My experience with the Cherwell school has been horrible, lack of understanding from staff, terrible facilities, and an overall shit school, do NOT send your child here.
disgusting facilities, horrible, unqualified teachers and a **** **********: these are the few things that makes cherwell the worst school to send your child to.
The atmosphere is really nice, especially in the sixth form, the older years get more chilled out as you move up the school. The teachers are mostly excellent, (especially the learning bases) working so hard to give good lesson plans, student feedback, revision resources etc. Also something I haven’t seen in other schools is the use of knowledge organisers, which condense key information and are extremely useful tools for revising! The teachers I have for 6th form are amazing making me strive for excellence. The facilities... are not the best, but despite this the school culture, teaching and clubs make up for it. There are so many clubs to choose from! The younger years have some social pressures that aren’t great, especially (from my experience) clothing, which can be easily fixed with a uniform/more strict (no branded clothes) dress code. In year 7 I was worried that I would get lost! But even though I did a few times, all the times I asked students or teachers, they would always kindly point me in the right direction! I like that the school has two sites, one for younger students and one for older students. I also like that our head teacher walks around the site, checking in on students and just generally being more involved. Overall the school atmosphere and teaching is amazing! I would recommend Cherwell to anyone thinking of going!
Fantastic attitude and atmosphere in general. The school strikes a good balance between being lenient and relaxed (eg. there is no uniform and seating plans are often fluid), and strict when necessary. The teachers are very hit and miss, like any school, but I can testify how amazing some of the teachers I had were. They made me love the subjects they taught and taught to a very high level. However, I did also have some teachers that somehow made boring otherwise fascinating subjects. The facilities are fine, and the school has an active student council, who is actually listened to amazingly enough, and has affected real change. I'm very happy with how North site treated me and prepared me for my GCSEs.
