I attended the Senior School until pre-sixth form and unfortunately did not have a good experience. The school had an extremely elitist atmosphere with girls forming a social hierarchy based on how much parents earned. Severe bullying was rife - most of it was known about and the school staff did not do anything to prevent it. Due to the capable intake rather than the quality of teaching, academic standards were excellent, but this came with a very competitive, unsupportive atmosphere amongst girls. A serious interest in creativity and the arts was frowned upon - unless you focused on STEM you were pretty much left to get on with it.
I left to attend Sixth Form at a state college because of the lack of humanities and arts subject options for study at A-Level. I suspect that The Kendrick would be a much better option for most girls if they are able to pass the entrance exam.
it’s an alright school. quite competitive especially with your friends. majority of people are nice especially teachers. foods a bit naff. loads of clubs.
I was traumatized like I talk to my therapist about if all the time, I was so seriously bullied I tried to commit suicide at 8 years old. The teachers knew I was being bullied because I tried to grt help like they said I should yet they did nothing. And when they did do something I would always be the one in trouble. And it just wasn't fair 0
