One teacher doing everyone's else's work

It seems to me there is one of the top teachers that is working all the hours god sends while her superiors push her up front to deal with there incompetents or lasynes there is never a direct line of conversation with the teacher who should stand responsible for there relevant position in stead they palm parents off to the poor woman who actually cares so how can you reprimand the messenger the welfare results speak for them self the deputy head should be ashamed of him self

Thamesview School, The worst school in Kent

I am a parent and I highly agree with what my daughter said about this school. this is what they said: This school absolutely sucks, my friend literally I got a detention for going into a fricking lift. also, the students in the school are so weird and everything, I have been pushed in a bush for over 10 times and I went to welfare and they didn't even stop those students, some students even have anger issues and speak rude for no reason at all. I'm just in year 9 and this school does not make sense at all. The worst thing about this school is that one time between Period 2 and 4, I had to use the toilet but the teachers wouldn't let me go and I accidently wet my pants and students were laughing at me. Another thing that annoys me is this : The C1, EES, and the detentions annoy me the most, sometimes I had chewing gum which I know I shouldn't do but LITERALLY, I GET A STRAIGHT DETENTION FOR IT BY SOME TEACHERS IN THIS SCHOOL WITHOUT THE C1! YOU CALL THAT RULES? No! This school ruined my life, Because of all the nonsense detentions my parents noticed, I wasn't able to go and see my friend all the way in America, I was literally crying like I've never done before. Do not come to this school at all anyone who sees this. I highly do not recommend. The moment I finish being in this school, It will be the best day ever. F this school.

it’s bad

there is a lot i could say about the school, i was there all throughout my secondary years (year 7-year 11) and im now attending college, i mean a LOT. even though there were some perks like a few good teachers, there wasn’t really anything good about it. matter of fact its so shit, literally awful.

like many people in these reviews they were bullied but they had the choice to leave, which i did not. i was bullied by this group of 4 girls every single day, from year 8-year 11 - this included verbal fights and physical fights. im slightly on the smalll side as im 4’10 and these girls were way bigger than me so when it came to physical i couldnt defend myself, i remember there was one fight i had with one of the girls - shes double the size of me and it was outside of challenger, i got a few good swings on her but she got me onto the floor and repeatedly smashed my head into the ground to the point where i was bleeding. there were MULTIPLE teachers who saw it and was right there but they just turned their eye away from it and let her do it. the only reason why she stopped was because someone in the year above us got her off and helped me. i constantly went to my head of year, my welfare support officer and even the principal - not one did anything to stop it, all they did was just tell me to ignore them. for a school who vouches “in this school we dont accept bullying”, they certainly dont follow with that saying.

another point about the school being awful is that they dont deal with racism. as a east asian student, i had to deal with a lot of racial abuse from my own classmates, people in my year, and even random lads who i’ve never seen or spoke to in my life. i have never felt so violated, knowing the staff just let them racially abuse me verbally and physically once again. a physical altercation that happened was racially motivated, they hit me to the ground, kicking me, punching me ect as well as spitting on me, calling me racial slurs such as “chink” and “gook”. following with racial stereotypes and sayings about eating dogs and cats. the school did not do anything about this, same with homophobia.

Gcse

Worst school ever

This school is terrible I was there for 2 years year10 and 11 and it was definite the worst two years of y life this school is embedded with racism the constantly queer horrible to the children of colour and took away all their privileges they all had to go for anger management classes and told them that what they identified as was disgusting the teachers were also homophobic I remember a teacher calling a student “disgusting batty man” . it is a living hell. And they barely have any teachers all teachers constantly have supply and is constantly unruly fights break out every other day and teachers don’t address issues like bullying . They disregard mental health and make peony feel inferior

Please don’t go here I beg you

I was also bullied non stop like some people here in the reviews. The kids are dreadful and act irresponsible. I’m at a different school now but I was there for the last half of year 7 to the end of year 8. One of the worst times of my life there was when I was in one of the most anxiety-consuming lessons of all, dance. We had a “cool” supply teacher who all the popular kids liked because she was on the same page as them with the sass and popularity. All the kids in this class apart from me were basically popular and had loads of friends. We had to perform. I never perform because of my anxiety. I look at my Fitbit that’s on my wrist and my heart rate was at 144 BPM. I remember that exactly, having not looked when action hit the rocks it would’ve potentially been higher. When it come to my turn (or my groups turn I think it was a group of 4 including me and I had specific lines to say too because it was a mixture of dance and drama I believe) I didn’t get up because I was too scared and one of the students asked the supply teacher if she could drag me across the room in which therefore she replied with “yeh” and then I had 2 people dragging me by my arms into the middle of the stage, which I did not commit too and therefore went back to the back off the room to sit out, through embarrassment and anger.

I was also in Spanish once with a supply teacher, because my lovely sweet Spanish teacher (who doesn’t work there anymore according to the schools website) wasn’t in and she even use to touch my hand gently because of her affectionate nature damn I miss her but anyway the supply teacher was a young woman and she was also quite a popular supply teacher and got a long well with the populars. She picked on me a lot in this lesson, so I got my phone out after she began shouting at me because I had technophobia in front of people (sounds hypocritical because I got my phone out) and I text my mum and she asked me what I was doing and everyone looked at me and I said “texting my mum?’ She got angry and told me to leave, so I did and started walking out towards the inside school balcony above the heart space (main area) and began breaking down by a wall. Everyone in the class could see me because there was windows on the side and began laughing and pointing. A teacher walked past me and tried to help me but said I could not stand here in open space, I refused to move but I moved anyway and went for a stroll to calm and ease myself.
Teachers didn’t understand me here. Nor did kids really because they weren’t nice. I had a girl try to fight me and she was quite big and everyone laughed when she pulled my hair and punched and kicked me. I soon reported that girl and she got excluded for a day I think I’m not sure.
I soon had to get CAMHS involved in my life at this point due to often remarks of me mentioning to kwill myself. This is when my diagnosis’ started to creep in. It only got worse at my new school.

My report

This school is the worst school to ever exist and the welfare support do nothing and the teachers don’t really care about the students (only a handful)

Do not go!

Terrible. The teachers abuse their powers and fine the naughty kids everything they want. Only good thing about the school is the building and the grounds.

Review

The school was a alright school but I was bullied non stop and they did nothing but put me and the bully in the same room and made us ‘talk it out’ it never worked and the bullying carried on. I moved school and they was not happy with it. Another story, I once was sick at school and they told me they wasn’t sending me home because there was no proof so I rang my parent to come and get me and I got detention for calling home🤦🏽‍♀️ The layout of the school is nice though if the bullying had been dealt with I would have stayed and not moved have way through year eight! I’m not in college and doing fine because I moved.

Bad school

Awful. The way the teachers teach is dreadful. I pretty much taught myself GCSEs out of a textbook. They don’t deal with bullying and the way the teachers treat you is vile

Just don’t go there - it’s that simple.

It was horrible. Teachers act like children, ridiculous school rules, the children are absolutely horrendous (massively bullying issues) and the canteen food price is massively inflated for what it is.
