Absolutely shocked this school isn’t shut down if I’m being completely honest. The things I saw while visiting the school for meetings has actually troubled me still to this day! I finally withdrew my child from this school and they didn’t like that I raised safeguarding issues against the school. In retaliation they reported me to social services claiming I neglected my child’s medical need by not giving medication (my child was never even on medications).
It back fired on them when social services picked up on their claims and saw they were only made after I raised safeguarding issues with the school. The whole 2 years previous they didn’t raise a single concern! My son was destroyed by this school. He is affected for life. How this school is still open is beyond me! They will always result to physical restraint before anything else (even when the situation is manageable and can easily be resolved by talking). My child was swung around by his jumper by a member of staff and she even threw their lunch away with no reason! What I witnessed on one occasion will forever haunt me. I worked with autistic children as my profession as well as raising a child with autism and OMG, I wouldn’t dream of treating a dog they way they treat the children. Horrific!
