I don’t know yet….. one year in and I don’t have positive opinions about food, some teachers, children’s behaviour… it’s sad, as I love Teddington school! There’s plenty of bullies and the school is waiting for serious accidents to react, that’s scary! 🥺
Teddington is possibly one of the worst schools in our borough! The food is horrendous, there’s absolutely no social distancing and during fights teachers are almost never there to actually do anything because they are too busy talking to each other and not actually doing their job.
During my time at Teddington I’ve encountered racist teachers along with many other bad staff members :( The actual teaching isn’t bad but it isn’t exceptional, however there are some teachers that are absolutely terrible when it comes to controlling the class or certain teachers that fail to teach the content or anything at all during their lessons ( not common but definitely not devoid ).
The handling of bullying/ mental health issues is bad. If you are ever feeling down do NOT refer yourself to the pastoral team as the majority of them aren’t very helpful and they personally make me feel uncomfortable. The handling of bullying/ sexual harassment is very bad from my experience as well; they do not take it as seriously as they should.
The environment is horrible! Loads of misbehaved students and just bad behaviour in general when it comes to lessons, break time etc. I can’t really blame the school for this completely but some blame can be shifted to the terrible disciplinary system this school enforces.
Teddington isn’t as bad as it use to be but it is still nowhere near being a decent/ good school. To the drug dealing and violence and incidents where random people have jumped over the fence ( adults may I add ) to fight students in the school, it’s not great.
If you are ever considering Teddington as a secondary school option, DON’T.
This school is very bad they blamed the students watching the fight more than the people in the fight they expect us to stop it when in reality they are the reason we didn’t because of them we would have gotten in trouble either if we did something or didn’t
My school has no social distancing we’re all squashed together at break and lunch and in the lunch line in a small sixth form building the only thing they’re doing is keeping the doors and windows open and the building and the classes are freezing cold and everyone is getting ill from it
Year 11 all in a tiny building at break and lunch, everyone is all together so the “bubbles” have then been mixed, everyone is sat close together in lessons, some teachers come right up to you, massive squashed together line for food, absolutely no social distancing at all.
not too bad. better than it used to be. food is terrible and no social distancing. half the teachers can’t teach but half the walls used to be kicked in so i suppose that’s some progress.
