As someone who used to attend this school, it’s a massive miss from me, especially if you’ve got medical issues. The school was the cause for my bowel issues and they tried taking me to court over this when it was their fault for not taking precautions after years as confirmed by the people in the meeting. The schools had plenty of scandals from forcing lgbtq+ on children to neglect regarding the toilets and some more general neglect cases that have been covered up to angry posts on Facebook and so on. They’re so terrible I cannot explain and for my years of attending I never got any learning but why? It’s because the teachers do nothing about disruptive children (aside from miss Allen in the maths department big up to her for actually following the system like teachers are supposed to) the special needs people do a fabulous job tho so if you do decide to send your special need children here be my guest because they’re actually quite good in the department. School preaches to mental health and reaching out yet causes it the most imo. School foods pricey but quite good so that ain’t to bad of an issue to be fair, uniform policy is to strict but I’d understand cosmetics but let’s not be telling children to take out their freshly peirced earrings, septum rings, nose studs and so on.
Absolutely support the teacher who has been put in such a difficult position over the PSHE LGBTQ lesson. We have had four children attend this school. Where our children have struggled there are a fantastic team in place to support them and our children have achieved great results academically. SCWA may not historically have had the best results in the Borough but they don't turn children away who are failing, they work with them to give them the best chances. They listen when parents are concerned so I'm sure they will be reflective over the feedback they have received. I very much hope that they are as caring and supportive of the teacher who has been unfairly recorded as they have been with our children.
Only giving a low review to the food and meals because they are so expensive! Jamie Oliver impacted a lot of families when he convinced schools to refuse to serve only chips. It takes away a cheap meal for children who simply want something hot in their bellies that isn't too expensive to get them through the day. With the current cost of living crisis I really do think that this should be considered.
This school is disgusting. They are obviously not interested in Freedom of Thought!! They are interested in pushing the LGBTQ agenda regardless how the students and parents feel. Please look up the video of this teachers tirade. So much for teaching core classes, let's push politics. If this guy would of been talking about the Bible he would of been fired already.
Disgusting that a teacher is pushing LGBTQ opinions on young people, they are employed to teach skills, like, reading, writing and maths.....young people are allowed opinions! This is brainwashing!!
Stupid rules for a stupid school, no jewellery, no nails, socks bellow the knees, no lashes, no dyed hair, no form of self expression, how do children develop and express when you’re the same as everyone else? It’s funny though because teachers can walk around with bright long nails, so what’s the rules for? Clearly not to set standard for the workplace. Horrible school for kids with mental health, forget about giving your kids a single day off because they’re sick because that’s not a valid reason and suddenly you have 70% attendance with court letters. Horrible roudy children who push eachother to get on the bus like it’s the last bus to exist, doesn’t really take stuff seriously unless their reputation is threatened. Students are mostly horrible anyway being homophobic or just outright negative. Food is really good yet so overpriced, £1 for a carton of milkshake that comes in a 4 pack in iclends for a £1?? You’re asking for kids to not wanna eat. You’re a favourite for a headteacher or any role similar? Great you’re off the hook for anything. Do I recommend? Never in a million years would I ever.
absolutely terrible. i was bullied for a year and a half and ended up having to leave the school
because towards the end things got very physical as well as verbal. some of the teachers are ok, although they werent much help when i was struggling with school issues. there is a lot of issues like homophobia, transphobia, racism and sexism. it is not diverse at all so if you are seen as different from others, people can be very judgemental. i also struggled with a lot of friendship issues, and things got to the point where i did not feel safe in school.i really regret putting it as my first choice of secondarys.
The absolutely disgusting rate of hate crimes and homophobia have left me gagging. I’ve been a witness to someone’s arm made purple due to them saying that they were gay. It’s disgusting really. The teachers only give these horrific people 20 min detentions.
Terrible school, can’t handle bullying or sexual assualt. Nothing positive and didn’t even care about pride month. School gates are left wide open all the time so anyone can walk in. Bad school
