Food technology

Working class mum

This school obviously has no idea that there is a cost of living crisis going on in England while people are struggling to feed their families and pay bills they expect parents to pay out over 6 pounds on ingredients for one lesson in food technology and if we can't afford it our children will be put into detention through no fault of their own because we as hard working families just can't afford it. It seems that if you're child is from a working class back ground they will be penalised.

shit hole

Absoluetly terrible, especially since the new head came along with rules. As a Yr11 they are completely useless to me but i know the other years will have a hard time making it a part of their daily routine. this school used to be decent, now we have 0 freedom or help.

Community Use

Community Use Facilities - Bad

I have been attending evening classes at St Wilfrid's Community Leisure Center for several years, which is part of St Wilfrid's Academy, but the standard of cleanliness and overall running of the Community Center has dropped since the New Principal and External Management Letting Company have took charge.
The state of the facilities especially the Gym is now sub standard with discarded food containers, empty drink bottles, rubbish left on the floor of the Gym before evening use, and faulty heating resulting in the winter months no heating, putting vulnerable adults attending the Community Center at risk.
Mice have now been seen running across the back of the Gym.
Do not try to hire these facilities. You will definitely be disappointed.

i loved it here

all the teachers are lovely and the facilities are great and very inclusive (gender neutral bathrooms) many of the students are lgbtq and the is ethnic diversity and equality. don’t believe the other reviews, this is an excellent school. also nobody came in with a knife that was just a rumour.

don’t bother

students are bullies and don’t care about anyone but themselves. teachers do nothing about anything, stereotypically, they only care about your grades

Shocking school

A school which once had a great reputation, now more and more appears to have one of the worst. Most students you speak to are extremely unhappy with their time there, myself included. Some of the teachers are great, but are let down by a very poor Head teacher.
Avoid if you have children approaching secondary school age.

Do not send them here if you love them

Do not send your kids here if you love them. Head teacher is delusional and, to quote a teacher who has worked there “ a slave driver” there are a few sound teachers but that’s about 2. Also some guy hopped the fence and ran around with a knife.

Horrible experiences

Horrible place dealt with bullying really badly. Teachers made my mental health really bad and didn't help me with it.

Swings and roundabouts

Really good school in terms of education and academic excellence, however when it comes to in school and personal issues to do with the kids they couldn’t care less and just expected them to get on with it themselves.
