St Thomas of Canterbury School, a Catholic Voluntary Academy

This school caused me 90% of my mental health problems. The students were frankly cruel and borderline psychotic in terms of bullying and it cause very serious mental health complications for me and my siblings. One of my siblings had severe disabilities and had to be removed from this school as they hadn't provided a sufficient career for him on a school trip and he ran away. This doesn't seem too bad in the grand scheme of things but he could have ran out of the several fire exits and into the very busy road outside. The school didn't do anything to apologise so he was removed for his own safety. I and my other sibling stayed there for my last year and it was hell. This school doesn't fix bullying, at all, or provide sufficient mental health support for students who are stuggling. (I will be vague to protect the identities of those involved.) I was often called homophobic slurs and words such as that and so much so that I was caught doing something a ten year old certainly should not be doing. Once the staff found out, they did the bare minimum to help me. They legally had to get a statement from me to run a report and gave me about 3 weeks of mandatory talking with a crappy excuse for a therapist (who was acctually a reception teacher) before putting me in the exact same position as before only this time with even worse mental health that only continued to get worse. I still struggle with that to this day and this happened over half a decade ago.
They refuse to acknowledge how awful children were there and instead told children to "repent" and they'll be forgiven. Using God and Christ as an excuse to let "you should have never been born." And "why don't you do everyone a favor and stop breathing you f-" (rephrased so as to not be as triggering but it was much worse than this.)
Everytime things would happen the one response the staff would give was "just be friends."
The attitude and behaviour in this school is unacceptable and I implore you to find another school for your children. For their own safety.
