Do not send your kid here especially if they are a girl.
' am a student at this school and the uniform rules are really strange especially regarding young girls.
skirts must be below the knees, socks cannot be white or knee high as they are seen as 'inappropriate' and 'adult', so socks must be black ankle socks as well as this any jumper you wear must be untucked (especially when you are a girl) as they don't want it to 'emphasize your form'.
it's genuinely really odd as well as MALE TEACHERS being allowed to chase the girls into the bathroom on the basis of uniform violations such as light mascara, I also had a male teacher chase me through the corridors for having a skirt above my knees (having a fully grown man sprint at you as a young girl is terrifying as you can imagine). You also must wear uniform with your tie on even in 31 degree heat all the way home as you will be threatened with exclusion or isolation if you get changed outside of school without going home first even if you have to go to work or an afterschool club.
They care far more about how you present than the quality of your school work
It's kind of good but if you get sent out of the class cuz someone reported you they always believe the witness and never the person accused the food is good but so overpriced 1.25 pounds for 1 capri sun 330ml
I’ve been to this school since the start of year 7 and I get bullied for my height and my teeth, There is this one blonde kid in my class that always taps me on the head and is annoying to my friend group but somehow gets away with everything, one time in Ms Isik’s English class, he called an Asian kid “no eyes” but all he got was a warning.
this school was awfull, sent my son there to do his A levles and was very dissapointed in the toxic enviromemt. When i went into complain i got fly kicked down the stairs buy the deaputy head. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE.
There isn’t many clubs that I like, i like roller skating and gymnastics but we never even mention those sports. the mental health area isn’t very good either. but minus that it’s a alright school
Not going to lie the school is very disappointing. For example, a kid got into a fight outside school and the teacher asked who was at the fight and didn’t step in. A boy raised his hand. The teacher got mad for not getting in the middle of the fight and asked why he did not break them up. He said because if I did I would be in the videos people were taking, consequently getting me in even more trouble, and this only seemed to anger the teacher. She seemed to think that getting in the middle of a fight where people were biting, scratching and punching to try and “break it up” was more important that a child’s safety. The school has no problem handing out behaviour points like they were promotional fliers. They also give out behaviour points for “lack of equipment” for example forgetting your book, which is completely understandable. But when someone says their parents are divorced and one of them lives in a different house and they forgot it there and truly apologise and say they will write of paper and copy it into their books when they get home and the teacher still gives them a behaviour point, I just really do not understand it. Also when a white student said the n word a white member of staff said and I quote “it’s okay to say the n word everyone says it in songs sometimes” which is an obvious lie. The school also excuses sexual assault and sides with statutory rapists. And just as the final cherry on the cake I know of multiple incidences where kids have been giving each other oral s3x at the back of classes. I think all these points prove why ssscs deserves a one star review (but I really would give them 0 if I could)
