DON'T GO

Cannot teach shout at the children for food you have to wait ages you get detentions with no warning and for doing nothing wrong there's a lot of favoritism

Shambles.

Teachers often humiliate students and pick on them for their own entertainment. When you approach teachers with authority about your issues they brush it off or put you in small mental health groups that distract your education more and don't benefit any students that go through said programmes. Popular people get away with breaking rules such as hair dye, piercings and makeup but shy people get called out and are forced to change something that was often done in an effort to boost their confidence. They force us to be people we aren't when ofsted are around. Detentions are given out even when you have done nothing wrong and you are made to believe you are important, whereas in reality you are used for a grade. Oh and the canteen food is awful.

appalling!

This school is absolutely horrific, please do not send you’r young girls here unless you want them to develop several mental health issues and low self esteem and confidence. Personally, I have been to this school and it’s clear they only fully care about top set they give top set the best teachers and it’s clearly demonstrated that they believe that those individual students are the ones who are ‘capable of getting somewhere in life’ while, other students are pushed to their best ability and have no chance of proving their worth. Further more, the staff as a whole are quite bad and verbally insult teachers and manage to get away with it just because they are staff and for some reason they are superior to the girls at the school, but some off the members of staff are actually alright and really show how much they care about you and how much they love their job. It just doesn’t make sense to me though, why become a teacher if you clearly don’t like kids? You have no passion for teaching? And if you simply will not put effort into not only giving your students opportunities to learn to their full standard but to also check in on the kids who very clearly struggle at school/have personal issues e.g mental health problems. As I said, the majority of the staff do not give a shit about their job and only care for the money but I think it’s absolutely unacceptable as the kids their then have to deal with them for 6-7 hours 5 days a week and have no choice other than to have the staffs anger taken out on them, it’s really unfair. All this school cares about are grades, top sets prioritised, PPES 2-3 times a year (PPES are preparations for GCSES so basically are mini GCSES for your year group), CATS (tests every few months) the students are obviously exhausted and have extra stress as they know the school only cares about the grades so they have so much pressure to do well in the PPES and CATS because of the fear of disappointment and embarrassment from their teachers. I, myself struggle majorly with mental health issues from primary school and onwards to present and to be honest certain individual staff members did try to help and show that they cared about me but that’s not good enough as I along with my other friends got bullied for years and it was never properly sorted out, anyways I won’t go into detail about that but bullying at St Paul’s school for girls is tolerated and because of this, if your child is a victim of it they will grow to hate school, hate their self and will be massively affected by it. There is so much more I can say about this awful school, on the websites it’s made to seem like a perfect catholic school with AMAZING grades but it’s the complete opposite. I don’t know about you but I would rathe my kid be happy, healthy and have a good mental health rather than achieve A* and grade 9’s. Please do not send your daughter here if you do, you are just setting them up to years of suffering. Thank you for taking the time to read this, if any of the St Paul’s staff are seeing this, priorities mental health, care for your students, do not force religion on individuals who have already committed themselves to another which they are happy in and just because someone’s not crying it doesn’t mean they are okay…check up on the quite ‘shy’ kids in class because I bet you most of them aren’t just shy they are going through stuff and it would 100% make them feel better if now and again in lessons you checked up on them 3 words could save someone’s life, just a simple “are you okay”. I’m conclusion, DO NOT SEND YOUR DAUGHTERS/CHILDREN HERE!!!

Course

St Paul's is a terrible school

This is a terrible school that has strict rules we must follow or else we would get a detention, it is very harsh and for just getting 1 late they give us a negative log and it is not our fault that we have to go on bus and trains to get to school, so they shouldn't be giving us detentions

Please don’t take your child here.

School does not take mental health seriously, teachers have been caught discussing students mental with one another - in one case, my friend who’s prone to panic attacks had a teacher telling other teachers that there’s no way she’d get a job when she was older.
An Ofsted report said that school has barely an exclusions, which is true, my friend and I were getting bullied by a girl in this school and school refused to expel her, so she continued to torment other students. I wouldn’t recommend taking your child here if you care for their mental well-being.

Really good school

Good school. The education level is very high and I enjoyed my time there. Majority of teachers are cool. Some are really strict. The sports is good and science is brilliant. I would recommend.

Like it’s alright but some teachers are mean also I didn’t make friends and all the students are loud and rude so left.
