worst school. you get bullied by lots of kids, fights happen every day, form teachers don’t like the kids and are really rude and unhelpful, no mh support, care more about uniform than grades, had a science teacher who was awful constantly targetted kids and did no work for about 5 months, teachers are constantly off with supplies who dont care, teschers dont care abt kids mh or how they are doing, most teachers let kids sit n chat all lesson whilst not giving any attention to the work or making kids do work, go to that sch if u want really bad grades and just wanna piss abt, meals are unhealthy not nutritious
My boyfriend goes to This school. He says the teachers are strict and the teachers are sexist . He’s very sick and the teaches won’t let him go home because he’s a boy and if a girl asked to go home because she’s sick they’d allow it and let her go home . I find this personally really rude . STOP THIS AT ONCE NOT A GOOD CATHOLIC SCHOOL!!!
I am writing this review because I thought it was very unfair that school is just portrayed by students annoyed over the smallest things. I am a student at this school and Think St Nicholas is a decent school, compared to other schools in the area the majority of students are well mannered and nice. A lot of the teachers really care about their students and there wellbeing especially the PE, geography, art and science departments. A lot of the teachers are trusted and admired by students especially in the departments mentioned above. However there are some small things that could be improved the uniform policy’s are very harsh and unrealistic and the emphasis on RE at the school is ridiculous, we have to take it at gcse wich i do not believe is fair at all, especially for less able students who would be better taking a less writing intensive subject. Furthermore I really believe that a wider range of subjects should be offered for gcse and a level students as part of their options such as media.
Overall I’m glad my parents sent me to this school It has helped me to grow up well mannered and nice, and also helped me to achieve high and get 10 grade 7-9s ( a-a*)at gcse despite the fact I am dyslexic.
Teachers care more about uniform and being friends with the popular kids then children’s grades and happiness. They do not consider what children want to do for gcse and instead choose for them. You can’t express yourself because of uniform policy and if you do there’s a punishment in place such as afterschools or isolation. This school is ridiculous and need to think about the fact that a large portion of students aren’t happy at this school and your doing nothing about it.
Teachers are incompetent and have no respect towards students or parents. Poor leadership from certain staff and grades decreasing. No dealing with bullying and doesn't get resolved. Most students unhappy with the way they are treated by staff. Uniform rules are unrealistic and should not be based on 'catholic ethos'.
