coming from an old student, this school has a great education and can really inspire you a lot. although the education is top tier, the students I was in the class with weren't really but overall that isn't the schools fault. the staff take care of your concerns and issues that can't relate in school or outside of school. bullying is taken into action by teachers if they see or get told and they take it really seriously. if you deciding to take your child to this school or a different one, I would highly recommend this one. when you leave you realize how badly you actually miss it and want to go back and wish to go back. the staff are great if you don't piss them off frequently and some are nicer then others, obviously. although you may get bullied, it's a part of life and you have to realise that but it isn't that bad unless everyone has something against you for no reason. this school had a great impact on my life aswell and if you're going to take your child here but your not really sure, do it for them there are so many features of the schools and only a few flaws. staff actually care and take time to listen to you and what you have to say, there are so many great opportunities in this school like head roles, school play roles, math champions, prayer leaders and even more. this school was a wonderfully experience for me but maybe not for some others.
your safety is what matters most to staff aswell. you would have online safety lessons quite a lot every week, every other term though, you'd have online safety assemblies aswell quite frequently. rse was mainly do to your safety. although it is probally government requirements to talk about online safety, the staff at St Modwens took it very seriously.
to be honest, you should take your child here for them to have a great experience they'll remember for the rest of their life. I dont know how younger years really care about eachtoher but they will when they get into ks2, upper years though, but my year wasn't the nicest. I think this school might have a downfall but I really hope not.
moving on, the inside activities and interior is decorated beautifully and it's pretty. last time I was there, it wasnt like hurting my eyes to look at it but it was nice to look at, simple but pretty. there are so many toys for younger years during wet break and so many activities to do aswell for upper years during wet break.
I really loved being apart of this school community cause they make you feel welcome and don't favourite students, except a few teachers.
