St johns in waltham chase, informed us as parents that our child was working at a greater depth in maths and English. However our child failed the sats tests and entered year 7 at bottom set maths and English. We were constantly told throughout year 5 and 6 that they were strong and had would pass sats at a greater depth and there was no worry or problem. Imagine our shock when the sats results showed they had failed the sats and now enter year 7 at a disadvantage. This could have been prevented if the teacher had a better grasp and evaluation of our child's ability. How did they fail our child so badly?
