Bad school children their are horrible
Bullying never stops teachers don’t do much with teaching as well they can’t even control their class most of the time they’re dealing with behaviour worse school do not put your kids in this school because your child will be unhappy and uneducated.
I was bullied mercilessly from the day I started school until the day I left and absolutely nothing was done now sixty years later I find that bullying is still prevalent and the teaching staff still turn a blind eye and act like nothing is amiss absolutely disgraceful
I am an adult woman in my thirties and am still haunted by my experiences at St Gabriel's. The sadistic bullying I suffered was beyond horrific, and teachers were more bothered about sucking up to the psychotic, brutish 'popular' kids than they were about protecting those being tortured nonstop. I felt in danger every single minute of the day and left feeling utterly worthless, suicidal, and uneducated. I have absolutely no happy memories of my teenage years and have subsequently struggled to establish myself as an adult due to the significant traumas I endured. I still have debilitating panic attacks to this day and was last year diagnosed with PTSD. St Gabriel's has put me off ever having children of my own. Do not listen to any of their marketing material. Bullying is not nipped in the bud. I cried myself to sleep every single night for five years and exhibited clear signs of severe mental distress and exhaustion throughout my years here. Not one teacher took any meaningful action. Nobody helped me. Not even when fellow pupils would shove their hands up my skirt as a 'joke' in full view of teaching staff. Please do not send your kids here if you want them to grow up to become happy, well-rounded adults. This is a cruel, grey, uncaring place that stamps out any spark of individuality, joy, or potential.
I’m pleased to say that it is a very good school, with so helpful teachers and staff. My grandson has been in two high schools before but nobody did anything, Gabs was my last hope and they did everything for him. Thank you to you all, you are wonderful ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
extensive bullying and inadequate teaching has always been a problem before, and innapropriate ways of dealing with it. the new head teacher has destroyed any sense of community there once was.
Terrible school, had an assembly which one of the points made were "if you’ve got things going on at home put it to the back of your mind and just focus on your GCSEs" appalling
The teachers and lessons were hit and miss to say the least, bullying is high and many students told it’s part of life and part of many schools. The troubled students and high level students gain special attention the rest left to fend for themselves. Choose wisely about schools or it will set a kid up with trauma.
It is an ok school, teachers are nice and lessons are engaging but sometimes I wish that there was a lot more strictness on people who actually needed the rules to be enforced a lot more on people who actually misbehave, Overall a pretty good school though
